I was thinking.. has anyone ever had a "cheap moment" and gone to a new all time low?

Example: About a week ago my friend went online and went out of her way to find free samples of shampoo and ordered them.

Me... well, a couple days ago I went online and bought things (from the sale section even) from sephora.com just so I could put in the code to get a free Dior lipgloss and the three free samples you can choose from everytime you order online from sephora.com.

Anyone else have these moments?
Has society raised prices so much that the word "free" triggers something in people?

Free is my favorite word. I also like sale, bargain, clearance.

@ Someone's birthday (at a semi-fancy restaurant) we all ordered waters. The waiter was like "....."
He gave us all free sodas for some reason, which was 100% awesome.

my friends were eating at applebee's. the waiter kept giving them glasses upon glasses of soda and ice tea. then, when the bill came, they paid the bill and waited for their change. the waiter came back and handed them their change. he had given almost everything back save for some loose change.

A friend and I were at the mall a long time ago and a lot of stores in the food court were giving out free samples. We made one round and got all the free stuff we could, then switched jackets and bags and went around again. The distributors didn't notice we were the same people, or maybe they just didn't care.

I've gotten free cups of coffee from Starbucks twice, though, the tall size. :D

Haha omg yes! Costco samples!! That's the best, we always go like every sunday after church, haha.

Even at the mall, theres like five distinct spots that ALWAYS have free samples and we always make sure we stop there, haha.

Those aren't low! In fact, I might order from Sephora haha.
Being cheap isn't a bad thing... but I mean, I guess it can get pretty annoying to others. My mom bitched this lady out at the grocery store because she was picking off some old leaves (off chives) so that she could save some money off the weight. That would amount to what... a quarter?

But I feel mean for thinking that... because a quarter is a quarter. shrug*
