Its called a favicon. I believe you may have to save it in a .ico format. You put the following code between <head> and </head>
CODE <link rel="shortcut icon" href="url" /> Replace "url" with the url. Don't edit anything else. |

I don't know if the standards have changed since I last checked, but I know originally this was done by changing the favicon.ico file on your site root. In other words, for it to show for http://mywebsite14352646.com, you should have the icon saved at http://mywebsite14352646.com/favicon.ico. You'll probably want to also do that, if possible, just in case.

This might be a shot in the dark, but I'm pretty sure IE doesn't recognize that file extension.
Oh and does this really have to do with Xanga? Or is this more Web browser stuff? |
