I don't take what they say as seriously as I would if I was confident they were telling the truth. I'd probably start ignoring them, if I really felt that they weren't being straight with me. I'd also try and get them to admit they're lying somehow.

well, i feel like a hypocrit responding to this topic becasue i lie to my dad and some "friends" all the time. and sadly, i know im really good at it. but usually, i can see through it and ignore it.

I usually try to get them to admit that they've lied. It can either work well or backfire horribly. Its just better to get them on the spot.
I'm horrible.
