i just applied a job for A&F and i am going to have a group interview. i am nervous and i don't quite know what to wear to the interview or what "typical" questions they might ask me. so i was wondering if any could help me out or anyone who has worked or is working there can give me a little advice on what i should wear or the type of questions they might ask me. thanks.

outfit: i am thinking about wearing jeans, is that okay or no? and should i wear flip flops or sneakers?? or is flip flops too unformal. i wana look like i have a sense of style and fashion and look casual but not over do it.

wear their clothes! they hire people that fit their look, so wear jeans and maybe a polo? flip flops would be acceptable i think. what about flats? i think sneakers are a little eh...

Maybe you should wear a jean skirt that isn't too short. Or that khaki-ish soft material that A&F, Hollister, and AE sells. Top it off with a polo or a cute top from A&f and add some flats, and you should be good to go.

yea, wear their clothes. abercrombie pretty makes it a rule for their employees to wear what they sell.

and the questions will range from, "describe your personality" to, "whats your gpa?"

I just had a bunch of intervies in retail (express, VS, american eagle)...

Look nice. You don't need to wear their clothes, but at least look their style.

The questions will be like "Have you ever handled a disgruntled customer?" and they'll ask you questions about customer service, an example of a time when you helped someone out, etc.

And group interviews are generally casual and simple. It's the one-on-one's that are a little nervewracking.

But really?... just look better than everyone there.

well i recently went to abercrombie and most their girl employees that work their wear shorts and tank tops plus flip flops.. so should i dress the part? or something else like a polo and long pairs of jeans with flats, since it is an interview? or i shouldn't wear flats b/c a&f don`t sell flats?

I say just wear the clothes that don't touch on the famous brandnames. Just dress to comfort, and try not to expose.

Uh...that was a yes or no question.

"Have you ever handled a disgruntled customer?"
"I don't know"
" blink.gif "

Fail.
