so, who here has some sort of cable?

i dont. we've never had it. i remember back in middle school, someone did a survey for math, and i was the only one in my class who said no. the rest of the class made such a big deal out of it, too. i guess i'm used to it. we only have 8 channels, but that's okay.

I have Direct TV. My mom can't live without cable so I've always had it , at least I remember always having it. I know a lot of people with out it though and they get used to it too. Its not something odd though. Once you just have some time with out it and you learn to be good with what you got. :)

I think our family got cable around the time I was in 4th grade?

Personally, I don't even watch the TV much, but I bet my brother would throw a fit if we threw the "good" channels out.

Yeah I wouldn't mind having only a few channels, if I was living that way for a while. I don't watch much tv but the shows I like. My sisters are the ones who want the cable, so my dad keeps it for them.
But now, most of my favorite shows are able to be watched online.

My girlfriend in middle school didn't have cable, and i only had internet, and we didn't really talk about much, since the only thing I did was watch tv most of the time..and she would be like clueless about it...so it didn't go well =]

We have cable, but it's basic. So none of the cartoon-y stuff comes out. We barely watch TV anyway, so it doesn't matter..

I don't have it. I don't see the need to since I'm not a TV person and neither are is the rest of my family. Really, all i need is my NBC for Heroes and CW for One Tree Hill and Beauty and the Geek and ANTM and such. Nothing else.

I can't remember *not* having it. I only watch like four channels though, so I don't really see the point.

i think we got direct tv back when i was in around 6th grade and since then, we got comcast when we moved and later switched to comcast digital cable. i only watch a few shows, but most of them are on cable channels that i couldn't see if we didn't have it. i wouldn't say i couldn't live without it, but i don't think we need 900 channels because half of them are movie channels we don't have and the other half, there's nothing ever on that's worth watching.

I never really watch tv so it wouldnt bother me if we only had about 10 channels. But we have Direct Tv, and I honestly dont think its the greatest.

We've always had cable. I remember for a year though, we had satellite. I was in seventh grade. I didn't really like it because when it rained really hard or was really windy, the satellite service was down, which sucked. ermm.gif

Haha yeah mine too. Whenever we have someone new over at our house, he turns on the TV, and then compares a regular digital channel with a HD one, and is like, "Look at the clarity of the strands of hair!" or "Check out the sharpness of those wrinkles!" XD.gif
