whats your biggest pet peeve in regards to grammar?
mine would probably be the words "a lot." it's two words. and i absolutely hate it when i see older teens using it as one. |

"your" and "you're" "their" "they're" The rules regarding possession, and just the contractions. It's so simple!!! But it aggravates me when people mix them up. >_> |

I would say it is the word whatever, because it's a rude way to automatically dismiss the conversation. Also, if you use that word in an argument, it doesn't make you look too credible.

I don't complain about people not typing correctly. I don't use proper grammar, esspecially when I'm in IMs. When I'm in IMs with someone it's not like I'm writing a novel.
The "their", "there", "They're" sometimes bugs me, because it's so simple. "Buy", "Bye", and "By", although not too many people do that. |

The people around me don't have exceptionally good English, so I can bear with their English as long as it's understandable... but sometimes I try to correct them. I hardly get annoyed though.
