Trying again..., i need alot of help... Options

Well, after failing at making my last div for myspace I am trying another go...so far I have made a nav area and just a banner to fill in space...no main img or anything else yet...here is the code...

When I go to test it in myspace it changes my code so it doesn't work...is there a different set of codes i need to use?

but you might not want to erase the # symbols infront of the hex color codes.

^ You don't use the # symbol at all in myspace codes.

If you want to make navigation, I'd suggest using this script instead of the ones intended for websites and not myspace.

Well, I made a nav bar using the script karmakiller showed me...and right now I am playing with the code trying stuff out. And I was wondering, is there a way to make it when I hover over text a image at another part of the screen would change? I cant seem to get the image to show up anywhere besides under the text.
