I just voted here! My choices: Colesseum, Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China, Kremlin/St. Basil, Stonehenge, Sydney Opera House, and the Taj Mahal.

The official declaration of the New 7 Wonders of the World will be in Lisbon, Portugal on July 7, 2007. thumbsup.gif

Why are they changing it??
"I thought as a millennium project it would be fun … to have all the people of the world select what they decide to be the new Seven Wonders of the World," said project organizer Bernard Weber. [Source]

Just for a new change, I guess? I'm quite happy with the current ones but there are way more than 7 great monuments (obviously) still standing today so I don't mind. Others get their time to shine.

If you read the little blurb on it, they are keeping it as an honorary 7wotw.

ROMAN COLOSSEUM - i also learned about it..and its history

EIFFEL TOWER - enough said [and i visited it]

GREAT WALL OF CHINA - its long

TAJ MAHAL - hmmmm

KREMLIN AND RED SQUARE - looks really cool

Definitely wouldn't want the White House to be on there. :P

But you know what would be a nice addition? The Petronas Towers in Malaysia!
