my school has really stupid rules. of course, i'm sure almost everyone thinks that their school has at least one. i do agree with certain rules, like no hole above the knee. however, my school always lets certain people side by. the popular ones at least. i'm not allowed to have in my monroe piercing. at least, nothing not being the retainer. but popular people can wear a nose ring. i'm not allowed to wear holes above the knee, but the cheerleaders can wear tiny skirts and prance around in front of the entire school in them. and wear holes in thier jeans on a day-to-day basis. i can't have any "unnatural hair colors", but yet a popular person can come to school the next day with pink hair and not get in trouble. it's funny how the staff seems to be completely oblivious to the popular people disobeying the school rules. do other schools do this kind of thing or is it just mine. also, could i like...get them(meaning the staff) in trouble or something because it's really getting on my nerves.

At my school, there aren't rules in piercings, hair color, and ripped jeans. So basically anyone can do whatever they want to those stuff.
For mini skirts, well, don't all cheerleaders wear mini skirts when they are cheerleading? _unsure.gif Even though my school restricts mini skirts, still people wear them and no one gets in trouble.
My school sets all these rules but not all are enforced seriously.

If you have real concerns about it, try taking it up with a member of staff. Whoever heads your student council might be a good bet.

Although, how much of this is just in your head, if you'll forgive me sounding skeptical?

it's not just me though. there's are tons of other people in the school whom agree with me. the head of the student council is a cheerleader(imagine that)who agrees with what the staff are doing.

Well, I meant the staff representative who heads up student council, simply because he/she is likely to be sympathetic to students' views.

Mines similar to your school.
One unpopular teen would get caught with a Ipod or cell during class, have it taken away.
While popular teen would get caught with the same items and get it easy by warnings~
Or our asistant principals would give popular kids a break on detention and have them assign it on a different day, while people he hates or doesn't know, he'd give them a specific day for detention not leting them able to re-schedule it.

Aside from the topic. Hole above the knee is so ridiculous. I mean if it's right next to your crotch etc I can see that, but our school district had this thing where you could wear shorts/skirts and they had to go at least to 3 inches above the knee or below. Yet if you have ahole on the knee, they write you up. It's like some guy's gonna whip out his penis and try to f**k that hole.

we have a strict dress code. no one obeys it, and the teachers dont follow through with it either ;/ which is a good thing.

We also have rules, like no "inappropriate clothing that reveal too much", no flip flops, etc. But you'll see a LOT of the people come to school in the morning with flip flops, a mini, and spaghetti straps. I don't think they care..
