I would really really want to lose weight on my hips, I have wide hips but my abdomen and thighs aren't fat, so my hips make my body unproportional. Any ideas on what workouts I could do to lose weight there. I have tried running but it didn't work effectively.

First, Improve your diet, this will
help prevent any more wideness. O.o Second, stretch those muscles! If you build lean muscle, which women can effectively do, your hips will slightly shrink, and become more toned. Third, you're probably naturally built to have a wider hip-spanse. Don't stress this, some guys really love girls with some hips! =] My share of guys had absolutely no problem with it. If you've lost weight recently, and thats just the only place it didnt come off, you're probably going to have to make the best of it, or try some major stretching. Gymnastics, swimming, whatever makes you feel the burn. Running didn't work, because while you were using those muscles, they didn't target your problem. The most effective thing you did was burn some calories. I'm not going to feed you the "be happy with the body you have" junk, because if you're unhappy with something, and you have the ability to change it, I have no pity. |
