IMO, you should use internet explorer because 80% of users out there use it, and if you have to pick one or the other to code for, you should code for IE.
However, %75 of the time, if you code something for firefox, it will look fine in IE, but not vise versa. Personally, I use internet explorer 6.0, and double check my work in ie7 firefox and safari to insure cross-browser portability. |

I think you should use Firefox because it's better for cross-browser compatibility.

I think you should use Firefox because it's better for cross-browser compatibility. I love Firefox, but the sad truth is that the majority of people use IE and because of that, as mentioned above, if you had to choose one it would probably be better to code with IE in mind. |

I'm a coder too but I usually use firefox just because I am too stubborn and prefer Firefox. Plus most of the time if it works fine in Firefox I don't have any other problems. I learned HTML for Safari cuz that's my school's internet browser but I'd check it in Firefox.

My mom works for a magazine publishing company, and she says a Mac is best for publishing/graphics/etc (Macs use Firefox). Also, Firefox has an "IE Tab" extension that lets you view a page in both browsers, and also a lot of more helpful extensions you could probably use.

i would say whatever browser ur more confortable working around with
i personally love netscape 7 because of its tabs, and rightclick functions (copy link/image location and open in new tab < best fuctions a browser can have) the latest IE has tabs but i find it to be slow never been on firefox, but u should mess around with different browsers to get a feel for what u like |
