Windows Vista vs. Mac OS X Leopard |

I am thinking of buying a new laptop soon but I am not sure which one I should get. Should I get Windows Vista (preferably Ultimate) or Mac OS X Leopard (when it comes out)?

I've used windows for as long as I can remember. I never used a Mac, but have wanted to for the past few years. I havhe friends who are pretty computer proficient and they all favor Mac over windows for everything except gaming, simply because there aren't as many games on mac. But that's changing quickly it would seem, so I would have to say go with the Mac.

Definitely go for the Mac! I used to use a Windows for like... the last 8 years? Ever since I switched to Mac last year, I've never wanted to go back to using a Windows. It's so user friendly once you get used to it, I find it actually quite a lot easier to use than Windows.  Oh, and there is that issue about the games. But I'm mostly using my Mac for non-gaming purposes, so it's no problem for me. |

Yeah strictly artistic reasons Mac destroys Windows. But a lot of games are becoming compatible w/ both Mac and Windows so Mac imo will > Windows in popularity in the not too distant future in my opinion.

As a recent convert to Mac, I have to say go with a MAC. I once was loyal Windows user until I made the switch and now I'll never go back. I tried Vista, but I much prefer my Mac's interface and performance.

well i switched for xp to tiger a few weeks back cause i needed a computer NOW and couldn't wait. i'm an 100% happy with it and will never go back to windows. as much as i love graphics, it's just . . . niiiiice. if you can wait, wait for leapard. if you can't wait, no need to. tiger is perfectly fine and totally wonderful. and as for vista . . . it will be at least a year before it's working right. ultimate is really expensive, too. but macs are just more to begin with. *shrugs* but they are definitely worth to price.
