I'm attempting to make my own brushes,
and I know how to work the pen tool somewhat..
I searched on Google for some tutorials, but found nothing.
How could I make those curly somethings?
It comes out thin to thick.
People use pen tools for this, right?
By the way, I use Photoshop 7 if that helps.

Those look like either patterns or brushes. I don't think those were designed with the pen tool. But here is a pen tool tutorial: http://www.melissaclifton.com/tutorial-pentool.html

And for creating your own brushes:

If you draw it on paper you just scan it. Then open it in photoshop and go to edit > define brush. Then the brush is created.

Nope, they were done by using the Pen Tool. Trust me, I just did a whole project where I had to create a lot of those. You use the pen tool to create the brushes.

And that is actually a pretty decent tutorial. Check it out and practice! The hardest part is getting the curves down. But practice!
