Yes. I have a HUUUUGE problem. I'll just be blunt: I think my teacher is flirting with me. The problem is he's married and...HE'S MY TEACHER. He's not that old, mind you (he's 27). But ever since the first day of school, he's been focusing his attention more towards me than any other student in his other classes. He does a lot of others things too...

1) He likes to tease me a lot and whenever he talks to the class, he looks at me a LOT. I am SO not joking - even my friends brought it up.
2) My friend asked him if her group could get an extension and he said that he couldn't do that. I asked him if he could perhaps... move the due date even one day later. He was absent the next day (he told the class he had to write a paper for his own class) and pushed the due date until the next day.
3) He told me that I was one of his favorite students
^ Okay, so far, this only shows signs of TEACHER'S PET-ness... but I'll progress from here:

4) I was meeting with my group to work on the project. They had the script ready and I was reading it. I was standing over my friend and reading the script along with her and there was an empty seat behind me. My teacher walks around the class, talking and then reaches our group. One of my friends ask him a question and he's like "I can't hear you." And he sits in the seat behind me, saying, "I'll sit in Celia's seat," and taps me on the side. Only, it wasn't my seat. Another friend of mine comes to get her books and my teacher is like "Oh, I thought it was Celia's seat. Oh well." And he's giving me an amused look.
5) The day before my AP Euro examinations, our class was given the time to study since most of the euro students had his 6th period Humanities class. So he starts to walk around the class, telling students to "Relax" and "Don't worry - you'll do fine" and whatnot. He gets to me and he actually takes most of the class period to help me review. He doesn't do it with other students.
6) After his 6th period class, I see my friend outside in the hall and I'm happy and talking to her and whatnot. Her class is right next to the one I just walked out of. I'm talking to her and he suddenly comes up behind me and says "Boo." He scares the hell out of me and I'm just like "What the hell? O__o". He gives me a smile and says "Go to class, Celia." My friend later told me that he didnt look at me as teachers would look at their students - with a 'professional' distance. She told me that he reguarded me differently and more friendly-like.
7) He blabs when he talks to me and he told me once before that he liked talking to me.

There are a whole other things but I just don't want to mention them and make this post any longer.

What do you think? Am I just being paranoid? Or is there something going on...?

Okay, I only read your first paragraph, but omg, THAT IS SO HOT.

It's always been one of my secret fantasies to have a little flirty thing with a teacher.
(But, now, I have a super-kewl boyfriend :] who is older than me, so that works, too)

You need to write a book if you hook-up with him.
I read this book called Teach Me about a girl who falls in love with her teacher, and they have a relationship! But it all goes to hell, and the story gets really freaky.

My teacher is like 23 and he does that and that doesn't mean that he likes them.

I agree, paranoid.

If it gets serious, you should tell someone.

You're slightly paranoid. The chance for a teacher to flirt with you is very low, especially if he's married.

The teacher is probably just a nice guy, and considers you as a nice student. Maybe he sees that you're more vulnerable to jokes and easy to talk to; that's why he wants to be a friend as well as a teacher.

i think its just a teacher playing favorites. Its actually really common.

today my cheerleading coach walked up to me in the hallway, put his hand on my shoulder and asked "Hey Alice, do ya miss me?" A little odd, perhaps. Somewhat caught me offguard, totaly. and normal? yes.

no biggie. besides, better to be like by a teacher than disliked by a teacher. Just think about all that extra help you got! =)

lol yes. is he is he? lol just a keeding. i think you're just being a bit paranoid. perhaps you're just awesome like that. lol. my teacher does some funny stuff to me too. i asked him for a chance for extra credit one time and he NEVER gives extra credit and yeahh. i totally didn't even finish the project he gave me and he still gave me an A...i totally deserved an F :) he he he. just relax and if he starts touching you or doing something sexually harassing to you THEN you should get worried and RUN AWAY. :) relax. :] enjoy the fact that you're not on his bad side (if he has one)

Unless you want to let him try to seduce you then when things get rough run away and tell someone then sue him for sexual harassment. Isn't that the American Way? Sue anyone who offends you!

Your over analyzing and no I don't think he likes you in that way. Just that he likes you as a student and person, nothing more. Unless he feels you up or does something like that.

I think your just paranoid.
