White Only Neighborhood, Old, but news to me

Apparently there's this neighborhood called Sunset Terrace in which the deed restrictions say that no person outside of the Caucasian race shal reside there, unless they're servants. Oo
It was written back in the 1940's, but I still find it kinda of funny that that clause is in the Deed Restrictions.

Sunset Terrace is inside a city called Pasadena, which is right outside of Houston.

Haha no. They were interviewing people there yesterday of all different nationalities/races and they were saying that they had never even seen that provision in the deed restrictions. I just found it amusing. Kinda like how alabama didn't ratify the no-slavery thing til 1999.

So strange that the US Supreme Court sanctioned this at one point.

(Yes, I'm aware that much worse has been approved in history, but it still really blows my mind).
