To all those who have had prom experience, or will be going to prom. Where are you getting your make up done at.

One girl told me shes going to our local M.A.C store. But then I heard that M.A.C chalks you up with make up. And I prefer more of a natural look.

So really wat do u people suggest.

well, you can always save money and not risk looking like a horrid fake clown and do it yourself? that's what i did, haha. i honestly don't think one needs that much makeup for prom.

I did my make up for prom because I don't want to look like a hoochie haha. I want to know what's on my face.

Clinique does much more natural makeup. Chanel too.

D.I.Y.

My friends get me to do their make-up, haha.

I got mine done at Lancome and UTLA, both of them did pretty well, except I went home and touched up on it a little.

You could do your own makeup, easily. Just make sure though (and this is a general rule of thumb), that for any big occasion, always test out your look before the actual event. It'll give you some time to fix up any problems or to get second opinions.

If you go in some place, you can just ask them to make it look natural. _smile.gif

Me, personally, if I was getting it done. I would go to Ulta or do it a home.

I'm having my graduation dinner soon and I'll be wearing make up too.
I think it's better to try putting it on yourself and see what suits you.

If I do get my make up done, I'd go to Shiseido or Clinique.
I'm thinking they'd do a good job keeping it natural.

well you could go to MAC ($40 a face) and just tell them to give youa pretty natural look and the should oblige, but MAC stands for makeup art cosmetics...soo these people are makeup artists so they want to use your face as their palate. yeah i went and got mine done there once (not prom) and they gave me this funky look but it looked good nonetheless.

sooo what i would tell you is this: take a trip with your friends to a store like sephora and play with all the samples to give you a fancy expensive made up face for free!! you can always ask the employees there to help you with application if you're confused but hey it's so worth it! and you get to control how much you put on and your choices are endless. plus you can try on some fab perfume as well!

You should talk to some of the people at your local mall. I heard that there was one place that does your makeup for free around my mall, so maybe there is a store or booth or something that is similar in your mall. Check it out. Doesn't Sephora do makeup as well? Why pay so much for make up when it is so easy to do it yourself anyway?

do it yourself.

And if you can't find someone to do it cheap then, I agree to do it yourself. It's just prom. It's just made out to be a big deal.

I did my own makeup, because every other year I've had it done, and I ended up coming home and taking it off to do it all over myself. No one else knows the features of my face like I do, or what looks good, or how to do any of it. It saves so much stress if you just do it yourself.

If I were to go somewhere to do my make up it would be Shiseido or Clinique.
but I do it myself..I forgot which magazine it was, (either Cosmogirl or Seventeen) but they had some prom-style make up for different textures/shades of skin _smile.gif
