Help with Div Overlays - Code not working, Divs not showing. Options

Hi,

This is my first time making my own div overlays and I seem to be having some trouble.

I coded my layout in adobe golive so that everything would be neat and accurate. I used the code form here to remove everything from my myspace except the comments. Then i added in my code. The thing is though that my positioning elements arn't working. My layout div containing all my images for the layout comes up near the bottom right corner?

                    <p>I decided I'd make my own myspace layout (brillant idea that was!) so I opened up good old Photoshop and voila! Simple. Easy No problems. But the coding? what a BITCH! I'm now so sick of this layout I probabaly won't even have it up for a week, but i did take the time to make it so i *guess* I should give it the much deserved time in the spotlight. </p>

All help is really really appreciated. I am so lost with this. It works fine when i look at it as a normal website but when i go and add it to myspace it screws up.

Don't use Id use class. Do used "#" before your divs use a "."

Hey thanks so much that helped with the positioning issues but i still seem to have a problem. My text doesn't seem to be appearing. There are scrollbars where the text is but the text just isn't showing up? And also my scrollbar colours don't seem to be working? i won't to assign different scrollbar colours to the different divs with my text in but none of the colours are appearing, they are just the regular default ones?

Firstly you're missing an ";" at the end of your scrollbar coding in the first set. Secondly, is the text just not showing up (as in, it's there but you have to highlight to see it) or, it's just not there at all?

Thanks i added the miss ";" to the scrollbar code yet it still doesn't work in IE. Also the text isn't appearing in IE but it is in FF. Any ideas?
