I first heard this from myspace. Its about not buying gas on May 15. We all discused it among the students and teachers at school. My history teacher told us if we didnt buy gas for atleast one day we would see a dramatic change in the prices. Here the gas is $3.15 a gallon. Thats compared to the normal $1 something. But if you guys havent heard this spread it around. It would be nice if there was a change in prices.

Yep, i've heard about it.
Probably won't buy gas on the 15th.
i'm not sure if it'll really drop the gas prices down.
but it's worth a shot.
they are getting pretty ridiculous

Not to toss you a wet blanket, but I've seen this, done this so many times. If prices do go down, they go right back up.

That and this.

Its a good idea.
And it more than likly would drop gas prices.
But not everyone will believe so, nor would they care enough to do it.
Most people in america want things right away. They don't like to work for it.
And if someone needs gas on may 15th, They are going to go buy it.

I honestly doubt the OPEC is any worried by this; and if by any chance of destiny petrol consumption rates go down they'd just raise the prices for they control most of the world's petrol production anyhow.

That and this.
Yeah, I read that too. It won't happen, I'm nearly sure of that. Although tons of people use myspace and email or however this is spread, it's not like everyone will be aware and the plan will actually follow through.

I don't have a car. I know that other people who do own cars wouldn't mind having this, though.

America pretty much revolves around OPEC and their gas. I believe as well as others that we should rely more on ethanol. More than half of the corn that’s produced in America is shipped over seas. We should keep that and OPEC should keep their oil. We still have oil from other places and in America too. We're fighting the war in the middle east and paying them money for oil. That’s how their rich and I wonder what they spend the money on? I’m sure its used to fight again us.

I didn't buy gas on that day. I wonder if it worked or not.

The gas companies will probably just get pissed and they'll raise the prices even more.

It wouldn't really do any good, because people's gas lasts a few days anyway...
