Definitely import tuners, more like just JDM cars.
By this I do NOT mean POS ricy civics with neon lights and unfunctional wings. I mean the Evo and Subbie, the supreme kings of AWD JDM cars. Best damn bang for the buck, period. American muscle, pffft..talk about overrated. Mustangs..Cameros and the like, only good for strait line and highway hillbilly drags. Put them on a track or touge where it really counts, and they are just heavy bricks and wasted horsepower. |

Man I'm the only one who voted domestic rofl. Not to bash the true imports (i.e. not rice rockets), I just have a preference for Mustang GT's, TransAM's, and Vettes :D I do, however, like the German cars as well.
I know imports will 95% of the time outdo the bulk of American cars due to their handling/weight, but I rarely find myself in that situation and mostly straight line race. Highway racing is great too if you find someone whose not a complete idiot. I personally own me a 2000 Mustang GT

My dad used to drive a Chevelle. He bought it new, but eventually traded it in. He still regrets that decision to this day. His brother got a 1970 Ford Torino, but crashed it and almost killed my aunt.

I drive a Mustang GT and I love it. I am absolutely in love with Corvettes, namely the Lingenfelter C5 Twin Turbo 0-60 in 1.9 seconds Corvette.
That said, in the past few years I've shifted from being pro domestic to pro import. I do believe that a domestic muscle car can dominate a straight line race, especially especially from a roll where four wheel drive doesn't have it's advantage over rear wheel, but they're way behind on reliability and handling. When I graduate, I'm going to buy a Subaru STI, at least that's the plan. I'll see how things are going in a year and a half.
