Myspace layouts for guys, What do guys like? Options

Well, I'm a girl obviously, therefor I make "girly" layouts.
But Myspace isn't completely inhabited by girls.

So I was wondering what kinds of things do guys like to look at and obtain layout-wise?

If you're a guy: what kinds of layouts do you like or would use? What would be on the layout such as images and colors?

I'm just curious. =]

What do you mean by "basic"? Is that like, just a layout with colors and no images?

And what do you mean by "old school". lol

From my conversations with previous guys about layouts it all depends. I know a lot of guys mentioned to me they like grafiti type layouts, cars (by the way the one you submitted was awesome) , shoes. Half naked woman on cars as Kristina stated.

I would try going minimal, perhaps using colors such as red, white, black, green or blue. I rarely see guys use skinny layouts or bright colored ones so avoid those.

since im a guy i usually just do colors. and like michelle said i dont use bright colors. I use like dark browns and navys and that sort of things. but i know a lot of guys have sports layouts. maybe some cartoon layouts like family guy and stuff. i dunno its kinda hard. i guess for the other type of guys you can do types of shoes or rap artists

Well, I'm a guy and there's a lot of things guys can like on the layout such as....

- Simple layout (like NOT TOOO graphical that makes it so cheezy)
- NO SWIRLS, STARS, HEARTS, anything like that since that's what most layouts usually consist of what I've been see'ing so far. Eeek.
- Cars
- Abstract
- NO bright colors
- Mellow / somewhat dark colors are the way to go.
- Of course, ladies. Wooo!
- Graffiti
- Sports
- Shoes (Nikes, dunks, etc.)
- Easy to navigate & content since most guys don't want to have huge amount of space talking about themselves or whatever. Instead they will just post pictures of what they like or friends & such, hah.

I just know, I don't like anything cheezy or TOO feminine. It just weird for a guys to have on a myspace when guys aren't very myspace freak like girls, lol.

I know there are some guys who like feminine touches but yeah.

Basically, yeah. And video games and such.

If you need help looking for ideas, just look at some of the layouts submitted by guys, or some of the layouts in Showcases posted by guys.

If I make a layout for a guy, it would be probably with like song lyrics, simple colors like red and blue.

I think the most important thing is colors.

i remember my thread about this, its kind of hard to do layouts for guys without them looking too simple. i've made a few of rappers that i have yet to submit, but i do feel that the colors play a major role in a guy's layout.

typical isnt it? half naked grls and cars... ahahah the layouts i make are mainly for guys. there are barely layouts on dunks or decent ones so i decided to make some.. and its all i make now -.-...
it really does depends.. cuse guys are different wen it comes to color choice too.. some guys actually like the bright colors as long as its the same colorway as their shoes. *shrugs* mainly guys like the darker colors and more simple. i cant possibly think of other guy layouts i could make w/o using shoes. because wen its "simple" they dont need createblog.. they could jus use generators.. now that i think about it.. guy layouts ARE hard O.O.. its so easy to please grls taste.. jus make it cute looking and bam theres an eye satisfying layout

Yea that sounds about right. xD I use to work for this guy that owned a site that gave out free myspace layouts. Pretty much that was my project to make about 10 layouts only for guys. I choose from cars, to good bads but didn't add girly affects, and models.

Their pretty common from the looks of it.
