I thought about this in class today, So who do you think handles money better?
Rich kids or Middle class kids. I put everybody else on middle class cause people who have computers should be considered as middle class.

Rich kids have money to save and to spend. Some rich kids grow up to be entrepreneurs or follow the family and own the same business. So does that make them good with money? Then on the other hand you go and watch sweet sixteen and you see them splurging 100K -300K on parties, and wonder wow did they learn how hard it is to make that money and here they spend it on ONE night?

Middle class kids w/ jobs are the hardworking kids that go to college and think their jobs are more important. Their jobs take up most of the time and they end up working 40+ hours a week. I know two types of middle class kids with jobs, One who saves and one who is frivolous with their money.

IMO i think rich kids are better with money. Cause they are born into money and just know how to handle it. Although a lot of them do buy a lot they can because they have more money. On the other hand middle class kids work instead of go to college to have a better education. Now i know that is generalization but there are a lot of kids where i live that work so much and dont go to college. i think it would be smarter if you worked in your education to make more money and not just worry about the present but the future.

lawl I spend my mom's money like I'm Donald Trump. And btw just because rich kids have a surplus of money doesn't make their excessive spending "better money handling." Good "money handling" is knowing when too much is too much." The whole super sweet sixteen thing is just greed.

Judging by the people who live in my county, there are a bunch of spoiled rich kids who spend money like it's their job, and they aren't grateful for the money they have either. It's never enough for them. My school parking lot is full of bmw, lexus, saab, audi, etc and people still wish they had a better car or a better color, or a newer version. How can they manage money well when they aren't even spending their own money?

As for middle class working kids, I'm sure it is possible for them to manage their money, but myself personally, I usually spent all my money, whether on my car insurance, or on gas or a night out, it's spent. But I know other people who save their money. Then again, I'm not really middle class, I'm more "well off" upper middle class. ish? Whatev.

I would have to say neither, I come from a "lower middle class" family. Having remembering the fact that even though we had nothing in the form of cash my mother would attempt to get me something nice for Christmas. Once school started back up after X-mas either what my mother bought me was "out of style" or just not liked. Why? Because the rich kids who basically ruled the school had bigger, and shinier things to flash around.

Yes, I know a few "rich kids" now who tend to save their cash like the Feds is going to kick the butt and take it all. But like the example goes: Sweet Sixteen on M-TV they tend to spend it like water.

Adults suffer from the same complex be they rich or poor. In a sense it's dependent upon the person if they spend money like their wallet is on fire or not. TBH I just started curbing my spending habits since they were horrible. *shrugs*
