Has anyone here been..forced I guess you can say, to make a graphic that you really do not want to?
For my history class I have to create something that elicits an emotion. The topic I received was the Holocaust. Many people are doing the basics, posters, power points, etc. Since I wanted to do something different I decided to do a digital graphic. Well upon looking for pictures I regretted it. The pictures that will defiantly strike emotion are gruesome and I'm sure I won't have the stomach for it. Just seeing so many of these images at once...so depressing... Oh well, I guess I will have to think of something else to do. If anyone has ideas please share. |

Yes, my mom made me make her a myspace layout.
 I did a mediocre job on it though, on purpose. But she likes it. |

im forced to make stuff i dont like all the time at my current job. my "Art Director" doesnt actually have any taste or real concept of color theory.

ROFL And Trish, don't you find that limits your creativity? Or, anyone for that matter - being forced to do something which goes against your style? I mean, obviously you're a good designer and I imagine an integral part of that is to negotiate the obstacles to a good design, but, any amateurs out there who find being forced to do something, having undesirable/opposite effects to those intended? |

i was just doing a project for music, and i choose ot re-do album covers... what was that for... that turned out to be a pain...

for me, its not that im really forced but its hard for me to say no when someone asks me to do their myspace pages. sometimes i pretend i forgot but now i'm gonna jus tell them "i dont make pages anymore, not even for myself"
