What are some mistakes you've made that you can recall from your early childhood?

Two come off from the top of my head. One time when my father and I went to Toys 'R' Us I got out of the car, and I must not have been paying attention. I turned around and I couldn't find my dad, but I went up to some person whom I recognized as my dad from behind. I just started talking about the most random things and then he looks at me with a genuine "wtf" expression on his face, and then I look to my right to see my dad just watching and laughing at me.

Another occasion was when I was sleeping over at this one girl's house and I grew thirsty during the night so I headed downstairs. I forgot the alarm was activated and the alarm went of and I must've woken up everyone and their grandmothers.

I was mad trippin'.

Taking certain things for granted. Sure, it happens with everyone, but I feel like I could've shown more appreciation to simple pleasures and the company of other people, instead of being a normal, immature, and selfish little child. Appreciation and optimism are good qualities I hope to keep for the remainder of my life.

Testing the combustion speed of the living room's carpet with some matches I found by the fire place when I was 7 or 8.

That store about your dad at Toys'R'Us made me laugh. laugh.gif

I never got lost in stores when I was a kid, I clinged to my mom... always.
I remember this one time my sister got lost, and she wondered into Sears to the perfume place, and the ladies working gave her free perfume samples (wtf?)

Uhm... I think there was this one time in a grocery store, where I thought someone was my dad... and it wasnt. But the person didnt even notice me, and I found my dad right after.

Oh also, I learned to be careful when a bug lands on my face.
'Cause if I hit it, and its a wasp, it'll just come back and sting me. Then my cheek/eye will swell... hahaha yes, that did happen. >.<

Sticking metal things in electrical sockets. Thank God it was a pair of scissors instead of a paperclip or something..
And flushing random things down the toilet. And sticking random objects into the video cassette player and electric pencil sharpener. And touching random stuff at the store.

At Walmart, I was looking for my dad... and there was this guy who I thought was him. He was carrying a DVD, and I yanked it out of his hand and said, "Oh Terminator 3? Don't we have that already?" and I looked up, here was someone who WAS NOT my dad and he was nodding at me in a way that it seemed like he was pleading for me to give his DVD back... and I turn around and walked away.

I was once at a book store and had found a particularly exciting picture book.
I ran towards my dad and hugged him from behind, insisting he take a look at this exciting item!
... but when my dad turned around I discovered he wasn't my actual dad. sad.gif

Lol, once I went to the grocery store and I could find my mommy and daddy, then I thought I saw them. And I ran up to this guy who had the exact same jacket as my dad and hugged him. _unsure.gif It was HELLA embarrassing.
