Are any of you planning on pledging a fraternity or sorority when you go to college? When I go to college I'm going to pledge Kappa Alpha Psi.. My dad was one and I want to keep the legacy going. My mom pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha.

I am way too confused about the system and it's intentions to think too much about the Greek life and if I'll be joining it in a couple of years. I know for sure that if I were to join one, it won't be a social one.

I have however, heard of very interesting hazing procedures that span both sides of the spectrum. There are of course the terrible ones that they show on the news, and then there's UC Irvine - where if you're joining a frat you have to lug around huge pineapples wherever you go for a week. laugh.gif.

Kiera, I could picture you being in Delta Sigma Theta. Which one were you thinking of joining?

even if my school had greek life, I wouldn't join. being at an all-women's college is like being in a sorority already. Why would I join one?

I'm planning on joining a sorority next year. Right now, as a college freshman, I don't have the time and money to pay the fees and attend everything. sweating.gif Next year, definitely. wink.gif I'm not sure which one to join yet, though.

Ok, I'd want to be a Delta. No joke. I'd be on step team...shit...it sounds like it'd be for me.

Buttttttt...honestly..if initiations or requirements or anything was a little bit too ridiculous, I would have to say sike. I think it'd be fun to be in a sorority. But it won't KILL me if I'm not.

I thought you were going to say A.K.A. But I could see you being a Delta, since you love to step.
Most Delta Chapters have a FIRE step team. We had a step show here like 3 weeks ago and Meagan Good hosted it. It was so cool the A.K.A's showed out, and they one 1st place for sororities, and the Deltas got second place. You should have been there, I believe you would have enjoyed it.

Did Suzzette's posts get deleted? huh.gif

Anyway, hell no. I've been here a year and still see no reason to rush a sorority. It doesn't appeal to me in the least, and the Greeks have most definitely lived up to my (very very low) expectations.

I wouldn't ever state what I was pledging online or anywhere because I've always been told by actual greeks you shouldn't ever do that. But I'm a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success (Sigma Alpha Pi); everything else will be if it's meant to be sooner or later wink.gif ; then I'll state what I am

I thought about it but decided against it. The fees to be in Greek life or insanely expensive. Most of the Greeks I know spend a minimum of $100 a month on their frat/sorority. Also, most frats/sororities have a certain amount of events you have to attend to stay in. I didn't have the time or money.
