Can you truly in you heart hate your parents?

Considering I cringed and was shocked by the topic title, I know it's definitely not true for me. There were points of utter dislike and disgust toward one of them, but there's a certain unconditional love I can't help but feel for the both of them, even though it can be debated that only one of them deserves it.
I'm sure, though, that it's possible. Even if they raised you, even if they were there for you. Life is extremely and ridiculously volatile, and you never know how your feelings will change, for better or worse. |

I could never hate my parents. Sure, there are times where I want to kill them but I'll always love them for raising me.

I don't hate my parents but I extremely dislike one of them. Trying to be brain washed isn't a great thing.
On a lighter note, me being the great fox that I am, I always out fox my parents.

Till this day, I can't forget what that person put us through..now that I think about it. Yeah I hate one of them, but I love the other so much for saving me from them, for giving me a future. Despite our ups and downs- no one is PERFECT, we are beginning to understand one another and the re-marriage was the best thing they ever did, cause I consider them more then my Step.. treats me more like a friend then a daughter, really understanding person no matter the shitty stuff I put them through.  Thanks for makin this topic. As an Individual, it brings back alot of good things that balances out why I love my parents so much. There will always be unconditional love for them. Parents and children are usually not meant to get along but in my heart I'll always love them, even though they hardly do what you want. I mean, they provided you a home, food, clothes, helped raise you...that's the best anyone could offer.

No. They can get on my nerves at times, but I can't really hate them for that. Can you hate the ones who created you and raised you in this cruel world? Again, no. If they raised you, then they must have a reason for doing so, and probably loved you at one point or another. Can you possibly hate the ones who were there when times were dark? Absolutely not. Unless they were faking the caring personality that they had and turned out to be real bitches.

If ya need someone to listen just pm me.. trust me.. the way I see it, in my culture, parents are stereotyped to be "strict" and keeping their kids in order. But I learnt- from my parents, they're not like that at all.. and it bit me in the bum about it.. they turned out to be quite liberal.. and they too could've sent me away after the crap I put them through, but they didn't. After so many mistakes that I have made- I keep getting forgiven, and each time they try harder to meet me half way and become more understanding.. for which is something I value.. |
