what colour would i dye my hair to get this colour? if possible..
By the way, I have the typical asian hair. Dark brown. :] Except I've dyed it once and that turned it into a lighter brown colour, but it wasn't much of a different besides giving it a lighter tint.

I've been wanting to dye my hair this colour for a while, but I was afraid it'd turn out a weird shade of what I wanted w/o bleach, for I am forbidden to use bleach. Evar. mellow.gif

Although they`re all not exactly the same colour, you see where I'm getting at?
& If I HAVE to use bleach, I have a question, how would I be able to divide where I dye, sort of like the last picture? >.<

Getting that color without bleaching - You'd have to go to a Hair dresser.

If you're doing it at home, bleaching is the only way.
And to divide it, just part where you dont want colored and twirl it up into a little ball, and use a rubber band to keep it in place.
You could also use foil to be extra careful.

um, it would depend. you said that you dyed it a brown color. if that color is darker than the color you wnt, then you have to bleach it. lighter dye can never go on top of darker dye. otherwise, only the roots get colored.

You can put lemon juice in your hair and sit in the sun. They have natural lighting kits at the store that can guide you through "sun-lightened" hair.

D: Oh my god I didn't know I could turn my hair lighter without having to bleach it since my hair is black as heck. So I just bleached it.

My aunt told me about this SunIn spray or something like that. But I think that's also bleaching.

Sun in spray or whatever isn't nearly as bad as bleach because you're not putting strong chemicals in your hair to make it bleach from black to blonde in 30 minutes. The sun spray takes probably a month to get it to a light color.

Bleach isn't as horrible as everyone thinks. As long as you leave the bleach in only for 20 minutes and wait a day to get it lighter, it shouldn't destroy your hair. Using a lot of conditioning products will help soften the damage.
