Sense the sarcasm of the sub-title, por favor. I only wrote it because my stack of Barron's and SparkNotes's AP practice books are staring me down. And frightening me. Threatening me, actually. Okay, I'll stop now.

Sooo yes, the season has begun. In less than a month, they begin. Are you ready?

I signed up for AP tests before knowing what college I'd be going to.

Now I'm realizing that the AP tests I'm taking wont do jack shit for me. So I really couldn't care less about them. I remember I took like... 5 junior year. The constant studying and practicing was terrible.

5/11 for AP European History! *dies*
It's my first one ever, I am nervous, VERY nervous because I am scared of getting essay questions that I have absolutely no idea on.

Actually, I really liked IB/AP testing. =\
Because I had Study Leave and all, so my senior year, I pretty much had all of May off due to study leave and test days. And the fact that I basically didn't have to do any hwk for the rest of my classes.

In APSUH, it's really important to under stand concepts of why things happened, and what happened as a result. If you know all of those for the important aspects of UShistory, you can bluff through any aspect of the free response.

But... it's also good to memorize key people and key laws/movements for each time period so that you can act like you know exactly what you're talking about...

wink.gif It all worked for me!

SUFFERRRRR

AS I DID LAST YEAR! SUFFFFEERRRR!!!!!!! devil.gif

JK JK JK!

Actually, I never even used my books. I still have that crap in my closet. I call it crap because they're wasting space. I want to give them to anyone who will take them (they're old, though -- no I'm not advertising!), but no one wants them, lol. I should go recycle them.. *sigh* So heavy. :/

The AP Calc book was the ONLY ONE that helped me prepare for APs, and it was the book that we HAD TO BUY for my class when I took it junior year.

You can make a lot if you sell them on ebay, esp if they are unused. I bought old prep books for about $10-20 each.

Calc will be a breeze, Bio not so much. I read 3/18 chapters of Barron's Bio prep book...SOOOOOOO FREAKING BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heh, I actually really loved Bio. And the Barron's book was a freakin' life-saver. Just know your physiology, guaranteed one of the free response will be about some sort of system. sad.gif

i remember when AP Psych screwed me over. Because I was taking IBHL Psych, and a couple other students and I decided to register for AP Psych before taking a look at how hard the exam was. And half the stuff was completely different from the IB Psych stuff.

AP Bio is easier than Chem and Physics DEFINITELY. But, maybe just because I was really interested in the subject. The lab section is really a no brainer. Just remember your processes and your cycles and basic concepts and you're good to go. Critical think your way through it.

APUSH isn't really that hard either. If you know what was happening when most of the Presidents were in office, you should be fine. digital.fragrance is right. You have to think chronologically: cause, event, effect.

I have Government on Monday and Statistics on Tuesday. I'm not really worried about Stats but I'm so screwed for Stats, it's unbelievable. :(

My class won't finish the course before the AP test, I've been going through the review book and we've done like 6/12 chapters. It's only a semester course.

it was so surreal, taking an AP exam for the first time. i think i might have messed up my answer sheet. uh oh ermm.gif

on the pink booklet when you bubble in what questions you answered, were you supposed to do that in pen or pencil?

Uh. For my AP euro test, it's easier than what I thought. Because the practice tests that I took...I totally flunked them and at least I know the stuff on the multiple choice (most of it). The essays are easier than the practice ones too but I am scared of major errors. Which essays did you choose for the FRQs?
