how do you study? i ALWAYS have to make a study guide no matter what.
i tried studying out of my textbooks, but i just.. can't memorize stuff like that sad.gif

what about you? study guide or out of the book?

Usually when teachers make study guides they tend to use most, if not all, of the material on the test. I think that I'd prefer them over just reading a bunch of chapters out of a book guessing what I need to know.

uh...i make study guides out of the textbooks. thumbsup.gif
i use the information from the books & just organize it into an easier way to memorize.
i write down the main topic & jot down important facts about it.

I enjoy rewriting my notes so that when I study it's more legible. So yeah, I would have to say study guide as well.

My teachers never make study guides for us, so I always have to use my textbook. I'll read over it a few times, slowly, take notes while I go through it and then answer a lot of questions / problems from the book and check and see if I got it right.

Unless it's history. I'll make a study guide out of the information in my textbook.

study guides!
My biology teacher rarely makes us use the textbook. Besides i think study guides are easier. Everything is compiled to only a couple pages or less in easier-to-understand format.

I study out of the book, but I usually read it once and if I remember it, I remember it. If not, then sucks for me lol.

Study guides? Those never helped. I usually bought those but never use them so I stopped buying them and I practically wing most of the quizzes/tests nowadays. I'm guessing it works since I'm passing w/ decent grades lol :P

Back in high school, we had study guides but they never helped on the test. In fact, study guides were just questions we had to answer from the book, often different from the book too which was strange, and the tests were different as well.

Actually DOING the hw was the only way I studied, and I hardly did that anyway. sweating.gif Damn senioritis!

Usually like one or 2 teachers gives us study guides to prepare for tests and quizzes,so we know exactly what is gonig to be on it, but if they don't usually I'll study from my notes and make flashcards.
