As i was looking for Alton brown throb.gif LJ icons.I wandered on to a livejournal who was recently featured on alot of newspapers and magzines.

http://www.rrsux.com/
The Infamous Rachel Ray Sux livejournal.

For those who dont know about her...
She is offten in the culinary arts community known as "a joke" "an insult to cookery" and "bobbleheaded cook"
Shes been critized for the fact that she has recived no formal training and still is alowed to write cookbooks with no measurements and at times will babble off subject, and then there is the infamous "EVOO" acronym.[Short for extra virgin olive oil.] Many feel that she did not clearly explain what that along with multiple acronyms meant.

Rachel ray herself knows about this site and weekly reads it she says to "see what they are saying about her".She says she laughs it off.

My personal opinon of her is I think shes ok.I mean she has the money that at anytime she
could chose to go get the training. But I think the fact that she stands out its cool.I do get agitated when she does get off subject but its not enough for me to go all out and make a livejournal about it.I respect her for all the shit she takes from people.

Well this isnt the only livejournal dedicated to a food network celebrity let alone a regular actor or musician.
Theres also the anti alton brown mad.gif anti bobby flay happy.gif and anti giada : biggrin.gif and anti emril.anti-lohan,we hate hilary duff,50 cent sucks dick., and then the 1000s of sites for how much people hate paris hilton.

So now to wrap it up.
What if you were a famous celebrity who was a "love or hate me" type of person.
And you while web surfing find a blog or site(s) on how much people hate you,Insulting you for all the little things you do.

What exactly would you do about it?
Would you be a panzy and sue them for slander?
Laugh it off?
Run off to Africa or some random country to hide in shame?

I don't think you have to be a celebrity to face this kind of thing. For every person who likes you there someone there who doesn't. Sometimes things will get to. It's impossible for them not to... but if it was some random person I think I'd brush it off because they don't even know me.

Well im just saying since alot of celebritys tend to do some really random things when they know they are underfire.
Like dave chapelle, Ran off to Africa for a while.

The sadly there are some who cant handle it end end up commiting suicide. Its really sad.
But yes you are right you dont HAVE to be famous in order to feel that way.

Agreed with Dee there. If I were a celebrity who had a "love me/hate me" attitude and came across anti-me stuff, I wouldn't really do anything about it. In real life, I try to retain a respectable image so that people are at least okay with me, but there will always be people who won't like me. It's not worth it to run away or to completely change oneself.

Of course, if I were always out partying or drugging myself up, then I'd understand why people didn't like me and change my habits. Not that I'd be doing that kind of stuff anyway.

aww i actually kind of like Rachel Ray... I used to find her really annoying, but after awhile she grows on you. Now i watch 30 minute meals everyday after school lol.

If I were famous I would probably avoid looking at "fan" sites of mine _unsure.gif

Ah this is why I feel bad for trashing celebrities when I know nothing about them. I think about this often because damn sure, just as WHIMSICAL ONE said, there are people who will dislike you no matter what. I'm always hurt when people express their dislike in me too much. (I care. Bite me.) I think I'd stalk my hate sites obsessivly and get random bouts of low self esteem and get really hurt, write songs about the hurt, and get even richer and more famous.
there ya go.

Haha, I swear, that woman is on something. She's ALWAYS so hyper and smiling. It's scary. pinch.gif
OMG, but I think she was kinda drunk on $40 A Day with Rachael Ray. Either that or she talks too much. XD.gif

If I found something like that, I'd just brush it off. Nothing really hurts me. But if it was something really seriously mean, I might have to go into hiding.

I remember watching Anthony Bourdain's traveling/eating show... He made fun of Rachel Ray, saying how she always goes to the most tourist-y places. It was so mean lol

I don't think Rachel Ray is that bad. mellow.gif

But if i were famous and i came across the Michelle hate forum or something, I'd just kind of shrug it off. If you're famous, there's always still bound to be people that like you. And if not that either, then close friends or family still like you. There's always people who won't like you.

What exactly would you do about it? Do nothing? I'm famous and they aren't. I'll just say that they are jealous. :)
Would you be a panzy and sue them for slander? Maybe.
Laugh it off? Yepp.
Run off to Africa or some random country to hide in shame? Why?

I think I'd sign up on that website and get to know the people there! If it was a forum... if it was a blog, then I'd just comment a lot and just... still get to know people.

Then one day be all...
guess who i am! :D

I'd go on the pages and make fun of myself. Okay, no I wouldn't. I think it would be tempting if I was famous to go and read through fan sites. It'd be kind of awkward though, because when you think about it Johnny Depp is like in his 40's and there's 12 year olds calling him hot and stuff. I think I'd dislike that more than people leaving negative remarks about me.

I wouldn't do anything; I'd just ignore it. I mean, if people don't know me personally, then I can't really take it offensively. I would just watch out for the press, looking out for fake stories that might give me a bad reputation.

I'd laugh. I can care less. But the person who wrote it for me obviously cares so much about me that he/she would write this whole rant about me. I'd feel special. _smile.gif

Rachel Ray.. Hmm. I can recognize her voice 10334034 miles away.

first of all, I won't be paranoid like oh-so many other celebrities and second (as many of you commented on) why would they bother making a site about you wasting all their time and energy when they actually 'hate' you.
But, I would laugh it off because no one is perfect rolleyes.gif

A really good example of this is the whole Sanjaya thing. Kid's 17, trying really hard, getting pulled from all directions, AND he's getting blasted on television AND on the internet. When it gets that bad, I think that's when you start having hurt feelings, but someone like Rachel Ray? She's very successful, has plenty of fans. Someone like her should be able to bounce back, whether she's good at what she does or not.
