Idiotic Behaviour. Why does Windows blame the user everytime it crashes? After a crash, some versions of Windows insist on scanning the hard disk first before booting up. Meanwhile, Windows chides the user for not shutting it down properly! This can and does happen several times a day. It was not the user's fault Windows crashed. Microsoft, take responsibility for your buggy operating system.

He's right on that one. If you find a bug, it's Microsoft's responsibility to see that it gets fixed. It is not their responsibility to get angry at you for finding a flaw in their system.

I just discovered something about Ebay that's ominous. I was trying to put some auctions on-line as a seller. I have not sold anything at Ebay for more than a year. The real problem is this. You cannot submit an auction at Ebay using Netscape (I'm using Netscape version 6.2.3) anymore! The submission won't finish! The Netscape window just disappears without an error message! You HAVE to use Internet Explorer! That really pisses me off! Ebay is forcing you to use a Windows product with no other options! Ebay should know better than that.

Windows Help is Pretty Useless. What a time waster. If you want an overview, read the Windows Help or better yet, read the manual. If you need help on a specific problem, you can be sure Windows Help does not have that information. Also, I have never solved a problem I had using the Windows Help Troubleshooter.

Google is better than Windows Help. Seriously, I think they should add a link in the Start Menu is that of the Help thingy.

Computer Crashes Are Not Normal. Believe it or not, your computer hardware was designed to run continuously for weeks and months without crashing. Crashing everyday is NOT normal. It is accepted as normal because of Windows.

I use windows and with my current computer build, my computer doesn't crash for ... currently 1 month and 15 days.

WinXP Help tries to be "smarter" by pointing to webpages. However, the URLs appear to be all broken in WinXP Help. It appears some idiotic webmaster at Microsoft changed all the support links rendering WinXP Help all but useless.

All of my URLS in my WindowsXP works fine. I CHECKED

Fifth, let's put up a warning that the system is now booting in "Diagnostic" mode to further confuse the user.

Technically, that is the diagnostic mode, because usually someone does not start the programs so they can figure out if that's what's been causing an error, such as lag.

Me? I'm not a "windows supporter" but I just believe people need to stop complaining about it. Oh and the reason Windows is unstable is because Microsoft is trying to make the program IDIOT proof and ended up shoving too much stuff in. But that's just my belief

Way to bring a post from post grave. Windows isnt shitty programming, its b/c people dont know how to secure it. I run windows without any Anti-virus. Just have firewall and i use Internet Explore. But everything it on a limited account so nothing bad gets runned.

hey welcome back.

limited accounts are good, but unfortunately the vast majority give themselves an admin account. you can't really blame them, no one really wants to change logins to install something. but if everyone ran on limited accounts, there would be fewer spyware and virus installs.

i haven't crashed yet ;o and so far i've had this pc for a year. i don't run on a limited account. i don't have on windows firewall (just my router). i don't even have an anti-virus (i use trend-micro's house call every month to check). the only thing that comes close to "crashing" on my pc is survival project, which keeps freezing up lately 'cause they just updated the guild system ;P haha.

...so yes, i am totally oblivious to these problems you guys are having -_-' i've never even seen a "bluescreen" in person -_-... so wtf ;x

there's always something wrong with my other pc 'cause it's my sister who uses it ;o i never had a problem with it when it was under my use... so i conclude it's the user's fault ;x har. blame yourselves! rofl.

but it's not. i turn on my computer sometimes, and i hit the start button, and I get a BSOD, with the bad_pool_header error.

a bug is not the end user's fault.

I try to use the poweruser account but I can't run programs like Gunbound :-x even though I installed it on the account using the "Run as---> admin blah blah"

the run as thing should work as well as linux's

dude. henry's back?? nice haha. yea...windows isn't that bad I guess. A lot of the stuff there is true, but windows really makes things a lot easier for most people. You jsut don't realize it because we're all using windows already. You don't know sweet until you've tasted bitter

that person must really hate windows! i agree with some of the things he said. but my computer has never crashed.

and i think windows is good. but, then again, windows is all i have ever used!

iv got windows and my computers never ever crashed. iv never even had to get it fixed! i do agree with somethings though.
