blush.gif I've just realized that I grow closest to my friends on the internet. I guess it's because they don't see you when you look like crap, and if you get sick of them "your mom is calling you" so you g2g. I guess it's just a sort of comfort you don't get when you see someone face to face. Their features are blur so it's hard to be made fun of or to make fun of someone you have never seen. happy.gif

Idk... what do you guys think? Do cyber friends give you the creeps, a warm heart, or anger?

I have some internet friends that I feel like I can be myself around. I guess part of that is knowing I can say whatever the heck I want because I'm never going to meet them. But the friends that I know that I talk to online I'm the same way with. I guess it's a comfort thing. I'll say whatever I want in IMs, but not when I'm face to face with a person. There's something comforting about sitting in your room in your PJs rather than at school around a ton of people.

Yeah I like knowing how you'll never meet them face so if you screw up its not like you still have to see them. All you have to do is simply block/ignore them happy.gif

There are a couple of online friends that I do feel like I can be closer to and reveal more because of that barrier, not necessarily because I'll never meet them. Actually, part of me sort of wonders what that'd be like, y'know? If they act similarly online as they do irl.

It's perfectly normal to be affected by online relations, as long as you don't go all crazy-passionate-kill-someone sort of thing. The internet is a powerful thing, and even though people love the ol' "It's just the internet." thing, I don't see why people aren't allowed to care about things that go on in cyberspace.

I met one of my best and closet friend online, actually. But I'd actually want to meet up. pinch.gif Of course, there are some that I consider good friends that I don't really need to meet up with. Sometimes it's easier to open up to someone you met online than someone you met offline.

Ah wow, yeah. I've met alot of friends online, and I seem closer to them. For all the reasons you stated, you can look absolutely horrible at the moment and they won't know! You don't have to spend time doing you hair, putting on makeup, etc just so you won;t get fun of because they'll never know. I could just be sitting here with my PJ's on and a shirt with a big coffee stain, and my hair sticking up, and they'll never know. hahaha. _smile.gif

Awe Selvy you give me a warm heart wub.gif

=D most of my internet friends I just find to be awesome, we always have so much in common their like my other half that I've never been able to meet. I think it would be amazing to see them in real life but until then its always nice to have someone to talk to. I've never thought about it being that they never saw you or what not because I think even if they were my friends in real life it would be the same way. _smile.gif

I love having internet friends and even better being close to them. You can tell them quite a lot about your life, and it's not like they have anyone to gossip about you where they live, usually. I find it easy to tell my online friends things I can't tell my IRL friends.

That's real pathetic. There's a quote that goes, "a (best) friend is someone who knows everything about you, and still sticks by you" or something like that.

they give me all of the above. Lol, some peoples are just psychotic and have their stalker moment O_o or just being very obsessive with you =X. some ppls make me laugh my arse off. then again there's always idiots that tick me off >_> but i think it's easier to get closer to friends online is that because your not FACING them, your basically facing your monitor screen LOL. i mean if you gonna like pick your booger i doubt they can see that (just an example i dont do that LMAO) and you cant really stutter ONLINE i mean it's just typing. even though it is easy to get closer, it's hard to maintain too because sooner or later, youll run out of things to say and it will get boring x]

um... i only have like 3 internet friends... and we don't talk often
but i have a friend that i met off line and although we don't see each other often he IMs me when he gets a chance by MY GOD he can get annoying with hey, how are yoyu, what u doing... and thats it it just stops there...
i understand the whole not seeing the person thing
makes things easier talk about other things
