Have you ever been hollered at and then felt disgusted? I mean like, felt insecure and uncomfortable about it?

Honestly I hate it. I feel dirty or something. Not to be cocky, but it has happened so many times to me and I feel so nasty about it. Do they think thats what girls want to hear or something? I start to feel like a freaking object on display for perverts to compliment in such a degrading way. I dont know, is it just me? Or do you feel the same?

It's the honks that really bother me. I'm just walking, fully covered and waddahail is wrong with these guys who honk and stick their heads out of the car? I'm not a prostitute, get over yourselves.

...that felt conceited.

EDIT:// And on the note of feeling degraded, I feel as if a ton of very popular songs are extremely degrading to women and I refuse to let my brother play or listen to those at all, at least in my company. IMO, the fact that there are tons of basically half-naked girls in the videos for these songs just makes it worse.

HAHA, yeah. When I tell my bestfriend about it, it comes out sounding conceited. And I'm fully covered too, jeans, barely any cleavage, and yet it happens.

I hate it when they do that--the whole honking and driving by thing. It kind of scares me. Like they can just reach out and snatch you away. _unsure.gif

I heard someone in back of me saying daummm. And I looked around if they were talking about someone else but there wasn't anyone but a old lady. Idk if they were talking about me but i highly doubt it for I was in the mall and there are more than 100 people in there. blink.gif
But onther than that never in my life.shrug.gif

i hate it.
i'm really self-consciouse myself, and having other people look at me makes it that much worse.
i agree though, it feels degrading when i see it happening to other girls.

Ughhhh, I hate that shit. It's creepy and disgusting.

omg, I remember one time, when I was going to DD, this car pulled up by me. I was scared shitless because I thought I was gonna get kidnapped! When I kept walking, it drove forward. As soon as I look at the car to see who was inside, it drove away.

That's why I can't stand most rap and hip-hop videos. I really dislike 50 Cent's music. pinch.gif

Anyway, yeah, I've been hollered at. It makes me feel uncomfortable and disgusted because that's not the kind of attention I want from guys. Guys who do that aren't my type at all. I usually just keep walking and don't bother pay attention to them. They don't deserve it.

I know the feeling. Last summer my mom was covering a shift for a friend, so I was home alone all morning, and I decided to walk down to the plaza nearby for some pizza (it's a two-minute walk). I stopped at the intersection and waited for a break in traffic, and TWO cars honked at me. One guy actually paused for a moment, looked me up and down, and then drove off. He almost ran into a truck.

And I hate degrading music. But what I really hate is when women degrade themselves. That's why I so detest Fergie.

That's creepy. I'm glad they left you alone, though.

Ugg. I hate that.

Once I was at a bus stop and a car of mexicans (not being racist or anything..) literally stopped in the middle of the road and stared at me for a while.

Creepy

Lemme ask you a question.
What is hip hop? huh.gif

I'm not really sure of the definition. ermm.gif I kind of just lump rap and hip-hop together as a musical genre because I think they sound similar. To Wikipedia we go:
QUOTE
Hip hop (also see hip-hop or hiphop) is both a music genre and a cultural movement developed in urban communities starting in the 1970s, predominantly by African Americans and Latinos – primarily those of Puerto Rican ethnic heritage. Through Lovebug Starski, Keith Cowboy, and DJ Hollywood used the term when the music was known as disco rap, it is believed that Cowboy created the term while teasing a friend who had just joined the US Army, by scat singing the words "hip/hop/hip/hop" in a way that mimicked the rhythmic cadence of marching soldiers. Cowboy later worked the "hip hop" cadence into a part of his stage performance, which was quickly copied by other artists; for example the opening of the song "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang.

And from Urban Dictionary:
QUOTE
Hiphop is the name of our collective consciousness. It is generally expressed through the unique elements of breaking, emceeing, graffiti art, deejaying, beatboxing, street fashion, street language, street knowledge and Street Entrepreneurialism. At the Temple of Hiphop, Hiphop is practiced as an alternative behavior capable of transforming subjects and objects in an attempt to manifest our collective consciousness. Hiphop is a state of mind.
