"H'okay, run out 3 take away food orders.... The porterhouse goes to the blue mercedes otherwise known as jim-the-guy-that-drools, take his credit card, keep in mind that it's a blue visa. It's in my shirt pocket. The 2nd order goes to the black dark green escalade, otherwise known as tina-my-voice-is-higher-then-a-mouse. She gets the Alice Chicken, gives me a $20, wants $5 dollars back. Run to the 3rd car and give them their food order, another blue visa card. oiy. I forget his name? and I think his car was silver. . . it could of been a cream color though, most likely a passat. Oh. . .crap. . . 2 other cars pull up. Quickly run to each car window, ask their name [Hi! picking up for Susan. Hi! Picking up for Gleason!]
Run back to inside the Curbside Take-Away headquarters at the restaurant, rolling around their names in my head, looking for more food orders for the cars that pulled up, Get the change for that $20, Run both credit cards through the machine [remember which one belongs to who], take out receipts and cards back in black books, with 2 pens, the extra change from that $20, and the extra food orders for Susan and Gleason. And crap. . . the camrea shows 2 3 more cars pulling up. A Red Ford Explorer? hmmmm. . . that must be John.
Get Jim and what's-his-face to sign their copies of the receipt. Ignoring the fact that I got tipped just a dollar. Tina hands me over a $5 tip in cash, which i stick in my pocket. . . hopefully i'll remember who it came from so i can re-type that in the machine, and she says she is missing her bread and butter, and will not move her freakin escalade until I get it for her. . . . And. . . oh great. . . it's starting to rain. . . perfect. . . "

^What goes on in Katie's head in a span of 5 minutes at work.

In otherwords. . .

Are you good at multi-tasking? Can you juggle a bunch of things at once? Or do you throw everything up in the air, sit on the sidewalk, and bawl like a baby.

Personally, I am pretty good at multi-tasking. But on a Saturday at Outback, and being the only person running food to cars. . . yeah. . . I could bawl if given the opportunity.

Hahaha, I got throught the first line, and then I was like "THE HELL?". You think randomly. XD.gif

I read in Popular Science (DORK!) that you don't really multitask. It's just your brain switching between things really really quickly. wink.gif In answer to your question, no, I suck at multitasking. I don't usually do anything but sit in front of my computer and get nothing done. ohmy.gif I should really stop that.

Does it count as multitasking if you're trying to do something and keep getting destracted but always go back to the first thing you were doing? Because I do that a lot. I think that's called ADD rolleyes.gif

Sometimes I can multitask, it really depends on what I'm doing.

I can multi-task... like do my homework while I watch TV, or talk to someone on the phone while I talk to someone else on aim...

I can't really think of anything else though.

I can multitask pretty well. I'm often on the phone while online also downloading songs and doing homework at the same time.

And on a side note, Katie, that was the most interesting stream-of-conciousness paragraph I've ever read. laugh.gif

Sure. I am typing, growing, blinking, making my lamp shake, exercising by twisting my body into strange positions, listening to the clock tick, etc.

With homework and those kind of things, no, not really.
