I put songs onto my iPod, and i always number every track on iTunes so that i import the album like it is, in order. But sometimes it puts a random song as track 1 even though i already labeled it as Track 6. And now it's frustrating. Anyone know how to fix this?

Does that happen when you view it through Songs or Albums?

...
That's not what I meant.
Is it just in Songs or just in Albums or in both?

If it's just a playlist, then you're gonna have to change the playlist manually or scroll over to Playlist and click it until it says 'Album by Artist'.

Or maybe try Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Check off 'Keep iTunes Music folder organized'.
And make sure you sync your iPod after that.

Sorry about the misunderstanding.
It happens under Albums/Artist.
It's not a playlist, and the box is already unchecked.

Well, you're supposed to have it checked. Is it?
And double check the numbering on your songs. (CTRL and J, check off 'track number'.)

Gahh, well, I'll have to check when I get on my other computer, but when you plug in your iPod, check Preferences (Under Edit or just press CTRL and ,) and play around with that stuff.
