I can exit it and still scan my comp with AVG. But I was wondering does it still work even though it states that. |

It'll still work, but the virus definitions just won't be updated anymore and your computer will be more vulnerable.
But you really should upgrade to 7.5. |

also if I install versio 75 do I need to remove 7.1 first? |

Yup, it's free.
And you can just go ahead and download and install 7.5. It'll probably uninstall 7.1 automatically. |
