So, I have to admit, when I first saw this on the train station ad I was expecting it having to do with animal killing. When I got home, I typed in the url and found out that it was something different. I didn't think much of it...but then I heard about it more and more and realized what it really was. Hundreds and hundreds of people die everyday and its legal. Children, adults, everyone die. sad.gif I'm going to see what I can do to help contribute. I mean I know Anna Nicole Smith's death is important. But there are other matters that are equally significant that don't ever make the front page.

Have you guys heard of Dafur?

I heard about it too. My school has this fundraiser that sells green ribbons that say "Save Darfur." I have one of them. =)

just last week i saw this and posted some posters around the school with two friends of mine.
the majority got ripped down, but i did get some support.
it's terrible what's going on and i want so badly to help out...
i feel so guilty living my priveledged life, knowing full well that some kids go to sleep afraid, cold and hungry.

It's been going on for years, and the government refuses to refer to it as a genocide because that would mean they had to stop it.

Darfur has been going on for a long time like gypsyeyes said. There are probably other places you can donate money, too. Cash money.

Last year my teacher showed some videos about that.
& my new school just started a club called Invisible Children United
to fundraise for it. I've known about the probelm for a couple years and really want to help

We have a club on campus called "Antidote International" and they focus on topics like this.
They had a Rock for Relief concert about a month or two ago and they showed a movie-type thing about these organizations.
Save Darfur was one of them.
It's so sad.
