I'm not sure if this is part of health...maybe I'm just going mad. But, whenever I go to bed and lay on the side, I feel AND hear a ticking in my ears (whichever way I sleep.) I don't know if I'm just hearing things or if there's something wrong with me.
Has this ever happened to you? |

If you have a watch on and your hand is under your head...well, that could be the problem... otherwise I have no idea besides maybe fluid build up or something. Do you swim a lot?

You're crazy. You're hearing things from yourself. You need medical attention and help. Go the mental hospital.
I'M JUST KIDDING! anyways, it does happen to me before. i hate it ! i usually get them at night when ii'm trying to sleep. it's hard to sleep with it. well, i just slept with the noise through the night. |

The clock then? Maybe a clock fell under your bed.
If it continues, you should get it checked out. |

hmm I can only think of the pulsing of the blood in your ear, or maybe your eardrum... but that's not a ticking

I had that problem too, except it would happen all the time. Damn it was annoying. Then I found out I had a fcking ear infection. When I went to go get it fixed, it hurt like a beeeech. :x
But if it only happens to you when you sleep on your side, I guess you're alright. I think its the pulse from your body beating because there's a buildup of blood on your side. You just happen to hear it better because it's silent at night, I think. |

I'm pretty sure it's just a clock in your room. Maybe it's so quiet that you tend to absently focus on it that you "feel" the ticking too.

I guess I should stop sleeping on my side then.. I hear "noises" all the time, trying to sleep or not. Sometimes I think my phone's ringing when it's not.

I hear buzzing, ticking, basically everything in my ear.
I think my ears have problems though. I don't know why you would hear it. :| |

I dont know if this is your case, but when i had a similar thing happen, it was because i had water in my ear, and it was slowly draining out. it was weird.

That's normal, I think. I always used to think that, that was my ear wax dripping to that side of my face.

I don't know what it could be. But do you ever hear those high-pitched sounds and the random cracks you hear from your television or other random stuff?
