Let's have our own graphic designer venting topic LOL. Jocker? vent it all out.
My case isnt jocker. stupid effin moffer effer peoples need to stop distributing my layouts out without my permission and when i notice them they never take it off even when i emailed them 3 times! #$@%@#$%@# Seriously, who the EFF input their layouts in the database and DONT know whom layouts it is. ^ I don't make layouts so I don't have this problem but I share your frustration out of the sheer audacity of anyone to distribute layouts without credit or permission. Unfortunately, there is no way of enforcing copyright infringement. cB needs to take this up though - like you said, a LOT of the layouts are from here, and some still bear the cB hosting images.
EDIT: On their Myspace layouts homepage, they say their layouts are 'provided by createblog'. Is this true? |

i not only get jockers... but i get that problem as well... most sites link off CB.....

Yes, I've seen a lot of the cb ones in other places.
It's great for cB to provide layouts for people, but then there's this jocking problem. Everything has its consequence. I've made some layouts for xanga/myspace that I used on my own page and found out some people jocked those. |

Someone has contacted me about this topic. Please just hear me out, createblog isn't here for you to vent out about how mad you are about someone taking you stuff, or someone using it with out credit, altering it or what not. Telling people to go spam people to make them feel bad isn't ever going to work, thats the wrong thing to ever do. Just contact the person and tell them the truth about it and not retaliate. Even if you have contacted the person about them taking your layouts, tough. I'm sorry to slap the truth here but its the internet. Places like createblog that have their layouts open to the public have always had a problem with the layouts being taken by other sites. No matter what you do its not going to change them from having the layouts up. they don't care. With this said, all this is leading to is spam through out the topic and people saying their going to spam others or flam them or whatever. Please don't encourage others to do this. ^Eh, he needs to learn how to not use so many periods between words. -___- and probably learn how to spell and look more professional through his replies to people contacting the website itself, because it doesn't exactly make the website look that great.

I said i was if people want to follow that example then its on them if anything i clearly stated that the chick The Baddest Chic who was claiming that the layouts she posted were hers ARE NOT HERS i wrote that it was a STOLEN LAYOUT none of the mods told anyone to spam as Uronacid said its a place to vent we as designers who take the time to create layouts have a right to defend our work... if u don't care that people steal then why should u care if we defend our layouts? i see it as you not caring because u jock as well... u don't understand what it is to make a layout, and code it ur self and to have it stolen by some ass who wants to make a name out of him/her self you as in NOT Intercourse but the person who wrote that email |

blaqheartedstar - Your post was not one we, well atleast I am worried about. you simply said stolen layout. There is nothing wrong with that. Which is actually a rather mature way of handling it. In Holly's post, we (yes Holly and I) are basically referring to this... If you want to spam there sites talk about it somewhere else. Obviously you guys are friends so you can do it through AIM/PM or whatever you choose. Just lets keep this thread on the topic jocked layouts without the whole subject of flaming other forums. When you put your layouts (or anything else) up, you can't assume that people won't steal it. Unless you want to waste all that much time and energy, it won't be good to try to hunt down every jocker. What you can do though is make others aware that the layout is stolen, nothing more, nothing less. I noticed blaqheartedstar simply stated that the layout was stolen at Friendster forums and that was it. Spamming/flaming/trolling the site(s) is not the best approach but I obviously can't stop you. Edit: But Holly, createblog's owner isn't distributing to other layout sites, just individuals who want to use them. Hmm, I see the problem. |

i know that CB owns the layouts and that i have no problem with, its like Deviantart and sheezyart, they have a right to your your work... its no soo much CB owning our layouts... i don't mind
and i know we can't hunt down EVERY jocker... but the ones i do bump across i let them know that the layout they are using is mines with friendster i wanted to make a point and let the people who use the layouts know what the person who posted them mainly The Baddest Chic that the layouts they were posting isn't theirs even if they lie and say it is QUOTE For all you know, Ju-sun could be selling them.... wouldn't that go againist the pics and resources that have copyrights? edited: my there, their, they're all all messed up.. |

Well according to his info he does have an msn account. I added it and I'll see if its possible if I can reach him. Along with attempting to reach the girl who is continuing to post your layouts. If I am able to contact any of them, I will let you know. Actually , I'll just try to contact any of the moderators I can. To see if its possible for them to delete the posts. (Deleting the user would be great too, but who knows).
I'm not positive but his email may be his msn email. (Which is what most people use). You can see it by viewing the profile. |

I spoke to their Admin. He said he would remove the layouts. BUT understand that you guys can not go back and spam there. If you didn't notice they didn't care about your spam. It did not convince them to get rid of the layouts.... So I PMed the admin all the layouts I want gone. He said he would remove them. I'll make sure they do keep their word. If you see any I missed please pm me. |

Okay. I've been trying (for about 2-3 days now) to ask MyGen (http://mygen.co.uk) to remove my layouts. And this time, I asked them in a kind and polite way, too. And what do I get? A moderator who keeps saying "f*cking" in his posts to me. So he deleted one of my threads about it and didn't even bother removing my two simple layouts, which I already linked him specifically to.
Would any of you mind trying this for me, por favor?

CB has the best designs around...Seriously. People here take their graphics.layouts.tuts so effin seriously, how could this place NOT be the classiest one around?? So of course everyone else is going to jock from them... I guess that's my view of the silver lining of this situation. As much as it hurts, smile a little on the inside that they think that you are GREAT. In their eyes, who better to copy/steal from then #1! As long as there are people on this earth working their asses off selflessly for other people's pleasure, there will be people pissing in their cornflakes. |
