What did I write?, o_O

Ever took notes in class or jotted something down and not read it? For example, I could be in school taking notes and not reading what I'm copying down. Then, when I get home to study from my notes, none of it makes sense, words are switched around, repeated words, etc. Then in my head I'm thinking...what did I write? Other times, I jot down a note and hours later I try to read it and I can't.

Ever happen?

Haha, yeah! I write hella messy, and I'm always in a rush, so I always just write really messy and fast, and when I look at my notes, it's messy as hell. XD.gif

Yes, especially in Biology. Half the time I a) can't read my handwriting, and b) don't understand the shorthand I use to save space. My writing turns crooked. And then yes, I always mix up words and such.

Nope. I'm obsessive over the neatness of my notes. I write really really slowly, though. I wish I could write faster.

lol i should scan my art history notes on here and show you.
i have no idea what i wrote, and sometimes i do, but the sentences don't make sense and fit together. it's just random things i hear that i think are important, and they jumble together and i have no idea what the heck i was thinking lol.

Oh yeah! I write in cursive because to me it's easier. My handwriting is very big, swirly, and slanted. I have a really hard time re-reading it.

Has anyone else just completely written sentences backwards? Or is it just me...

Because I do this all the time.

Nothing frustrates me more than moments like that. First of all you relize it in class so your far behind, and then, to go even father back you have to reread it so you have to copy more stuff down without reading it.. blink.gif

Yes, all the time.

But I never seem to get around to reading my notes. I just take them to make the teacher thing I'm actually doing something and not daydreaming.

It only happens to me in Science. Like, I can pick up on everything I'm writing when I'm copying notes in math. But for me, when I copy notes in Science...everything is a blur.

Oh yea, this happens quite a bit. And since I've been on medicine during school for being sick it doesn't help at all. Thank goodness that my science classes have fill in the blank notes as their going through power points.

Haha happens to me all the time
sometimes i jump around a lot or i use a shortened version and well I make it too short as to where I dont understand what I meant by it
Most of the time im pretty good at keeping my notes clear and organized
it also depends on what kind of day it is and what mood im in, whether im distracted, or tired & etc

I do that sometimes too! pinch.gif
And yes, omg. My handwriting it the worst thing ever. I always have to watch myself writing it down, or else... I'm doomed. laugh.gif

Yeah, that's equally as annoying. You read, let's say, two pages into a book and then realize that you have no idea what you had just read. pinch.gif

All the time. That's why I don't bother taking notes now, I just listen to what the teacher says and most of the time I get more information out of that.

This happens at two in the morning when all brain activity is at an all-time low.

For instance, in the middle of a history essay:

"You better run because the flying Coca-Cola can will hit you with it's wings!"

When you write that, don't realize it, and keep on going, you know it's time for some sleep.

Like when I'm not paying CLOSE attention I'll doze off and tyhink about something else, and well my handwriting is messsy but legible, but sometimes I wouldn't understand what I wrote and what it means.

yeahh i hate that but the worst i do is fall asleep as i'm taking notes
so i start off writing a word then theres just a bunch of lines and squiggles from me leaning over my notebook and i wake up and missed like 2 minutes worth of notes and there are a bunch of lines all over my paper

That's not a bad idea. I should just take a camera and record everything my teacher is saying. whistling.gif Sure beats my chicken scratch.

Oh, I'm exactly the same as you!
I construct what I need to write down in my brain properly first before actually writing it down.

And I've got really slow writing speed as well... turns out to be a disadvantage in exams because I get over-obsessive with my handwriting. -______-

Yes, that happens to me a lot. I jot down weird shorthand that I think I'll remember later on and then it turns out I don't. I have pretty neat handwriting though.
