I have a Wacom. I LOVE it. If I'm outlining something in PS or erasing part of background, I only use the pen. throb.gif

Yeah the mouse is a bit hard to use, since you're basically using it on a 4x5 canvas [or whatever you have], pen=<3

Ah yea, I was thinking about getting one. I suppose I didn't find it all that great. I rather just get a tablet PC. My dad was going to get my 4x5. -shrugs- I found it to be to small pinch.gif I found some larger ones though that don't look too bad. I forgot the exact dimensioning on it though.

I thought about getting a Tablet PC, but the Wacom was just more economical, both financially and as far as space goes.

It took a while to get the hang of it. When I first started using the pen with the PS pen tool I thought I was going to break something after a few minutes. I'm still nowhere near fantastic at it. However, when it comes to erasing imperfections or parts of backgrounds, I'm totally enamored of my Wacom pen. throb.gif

The space is small, there's no doubt about that. I have tiny hands though, so I guess it works for me. LOL

Wow, that's certainly not as expensive as I thought! Oh, this would be SO much more fun if I want to try digital painting. The tablet PC looks so much more enticing, though.

NO f**king WAY! I'm getting one online right now!
I can't wait until I get it. I recently downloaded a certain professional comic publication program and I desperately need some control for my art. GRAPHIRE4 PEN<3

Aw poo, everything I want to post has already been posted. Not fair at all. :[

A tablet PC is an actual computer (err, laptop) that has a touch screen. A regular tablet is a separate device where you use a pen to draw on the screen, and your strokes are made and can be seen on your computer screen.

Isn't there another type of tablet that you can put over your computer screen and use a graphic pen on? So it's basically a combination of both? Or did I totally just make that up? laugh.gif

I ordered the Wacom Graphire4 4x5 Tablet, which got a pretty high rating from CNet. It should be here by Friday. Hopefully.

i have a convertable laptop so when i dont feel like using it as a tablet i can use it as a laptop and type, or if i do want to use the tablet i just turn the screen around and shut it, slip out the pen, and co crazy!! and it also comes equipt qith a nifty drawing program unlike any others i have ever seen before. whatever medium you choose to draw with like pencil for example, if you press harder it will get darker, press lighter it will get lighter, its really cool. and i think others can download that program too. not too sure though. but i love this computer, its amazing and was totally worth it.
