That's...pretty normal. Some, like me, will just move out at 18 anyway, but some are forced to leave. I see it as beneficial, it forces you to really learn how to deal with the "real world".

Well I want to move out when I graduate so I wouldn't see anything wrong with it. Heck if my parents said they'd kick me out, I'd be happy. I'm ready to get out now. You should try getting a job early though, so that you can save up for when youo are on your own though.

^I am currently fourteen right now, so I don't think I can get a job anywhere. Plus, my parents won't let me get a job during high school because they're more focused on my "ACADEMICS" .. problems.

I don't blame your parents. They want you to support yourself instead of always reling on them. They're teaching you. If they let you stay, you'd probably act like a kid and when they go away, then what? see...

Honestly i think parents who say "get the f**k" out of my house when you graduate.Yet they dont let their kids get a job durring high school is hipocritical.
The younger you get exposed in the job world the better chance you will have of supporting yourself jsut like mummy and daddy want.
They are legally obligated to finance your education up to 40 percent belive me my mum tried the same bullshit.

One of the many reasons im emancipated.... _dry.gif

Are you sure? I don't mean to say you're a liar or anything, but I've never heard of that. And honestly, it seems kind of ridiculous. I've heard of plenty of people going to a JC and paying the whole tuition themselves.

Work on weekends, summer vacation, winter break, spring break, and holidays.

... wait, what's the point working when you're going to blow off the money ?

I've been set up to succeed in life, if I don't then I must be utterly worthless and I'll kill myself if i'm not self sustaining by 2012 in the most unusual way.

Well most people have some sort of parent to help them out when they arent eligeble to get financial aid.Not to mention for me over seas study is expencive. Not to mention some areas of study arent covered by finacial aid. When a parent denys financial support to the point where the court gets involved they grant up to 40 percent finacial responsablity.

Yeah my mum told me basicly the same thing that jasons parents told him. "Once you get out of highschool your out of my house but you cant get a job durring high school" well I was able to go to the UK for college entering at 16 but the tuition only payed for half. For one thing i had the maximum amount of credits to graduate high school. So i basicly graduated right there but my dumbass mum still was like no you have to graduate properly to go to this college and pay for it myself...finaly my dad helped me out [becasue he was located in mexico i couldent live with him and since he knew my mum was a miserable bitch :laugh].He got me to get emancipated and payed for my housing and my schooling in ireland.

I have yet to forgive that bitch. She made me go to the point of disowning her just becasue shes cheap.
That was long lol

Uhm my parents said they would kick me out after I graduate, I'd be in college and facing all the college stuff by myself, dealing with life and supporting my self, starting a career and family.

My parents didn't say that they will kick me out.

They just said that I had to pay my own tuition and room and board if it is far.
