Are you fashion conscious? Do you consider yourself to be up-to-date on the latest trends? Do you know who you are know how to dress your best? Then come participate in Createblog's first cB's Got Style fashion contest!

Rules:
  • Each round, there will be one theme for you to interpret and turn in a photo of you wearing the outfit you feel matches the theme. You're not modeling, like CBNTM, but will be judged on the outfit.
  • After each round, the judges will eliminate one contestant.
  • Pictures already posted on Createblog may not be submitted for the competition.

Submit in this topic of a picture of you that showcases your own personal every-day style. You may provide a short description describing what your style is and explaining the picture.

If you want to be a contestant, please make sure you can commit the contest. The deadlines can be flexible, but we want dedicated contestants who are willing to turn in a picture for the contest each round.

This is a preliminary round to determine who will participate and go on to compete in the contest. The deadline for applications is Sunday, March 25th, 2007, 11:59 EST. Join! Join! Join!

alright, ill post mine now.
yes, i do realize that my poses look akward.
this is why i dont model. thumbsup.gif




and i blocked my face because i looked kinda stupid.

edit- everyone else is doing it, ill do it too (telling everyone where they got their stuff).
undershirt (the grey one)- target.
vest- it's old. i wore it when i was 6. but, i rummaged around and found it, cut the arm holes, stitched it up, and hemmed it a littled.
belt- it's old, too. i got it with my jeans when i was in 6th grade (i save everything).
jeans- hollister flares, but then i cut them and sewed them so they became skinny jeans.
shoes- old navy (on sale for $1.20. hell yeaaa.).

yea. which is really odd considering im chinese. i think im actually the tallest female in my family.
i actually thought that my legs looked too far apart. idk. i just thought that it looked weird. but, i was too lazy to go back and re shoot.

I'm bad at descriptions but I like my style, haha. It's supposed to be casual so this is something I wore to school before. Just simple, a few accessories. My every-day dark jeans, simple lace tank, brown/black thick headband, brown earrings (hard to see but meh), and ballet flats. _smile.gif

Erm...don't mind the funny stripes on my arm/chest...I have a mirror to my left in the pic and the flash reflected funny. =p

My style changes with my mood, but most all of the time i'm usually too lazy to to dress up for school, especially when it's cold outside. So here's a typical go-to-school look that i've been clad in for the last couple months.

Head Band: Walmart? Target?
Teeshirt: Rebbecca Beeson
Jeans: Diesel
Jacket: Vintage Leather Jacket
Purse: Chanel
Scarf on Purse: Vintage Hermes
Scarf on Neck: Street Vendor (I used to live in New York)
Shoes: Blue converse hightops.

oh and i'm REALLY sorry for my messy room.

^Why would you ever be sorry about the room? laugh.gif It's the outfit we care about. :]

So I suppose we weren't clear enough and this will make me seem really anal, but we're accepting one picture per round. For the contestants that turned in two pictures, we'll simply use the one that shows the outfit most clearly. Mireh, it seems like the first shows the most and with Maggie, it's a toss-up, they're pretty much even.

Meh. To be honest, I haven't taken any new pictures for quite some time, so I'll just put this up for now. If I take any before the deadline, I'll change it. pinch.gif

As for my actual style, it's really volatile. Usually I dress really edgy/punky, but I always try to add a bit of a twist on it that parallels contemporary fashion (Does that make sense to anyone other than me? XD.gif). Mrrm.. but I do, I admit, like to get dressed up and girly just because (as made clear by this outfit).

Maggie: You definitely have the body for a model & the clothes look great on you. I love that you've had the vest forever and have altered your clothes for your body.

Mireh: Woah, I love your style. Very cool and urban (I can't really think of a word to describe it) As Gigi said, I would kill for the jacket, as well as the bag. You look uber cute.

Jackie: That shirt is amazing!! How long did it take you to make it? I think I would like the outfit better with some dark skinny (or not skinny, depending on how they look on your body) jeans. You still look very cute though.

Kathleen: Eeee, I love this picture of you. Great dress, plus I've seen your other pics (ya myspace!!) and you have a great unique fun style.

Yanny: Wowza, you look hot! I loveeee everything about it! I wish I could wear something like that to class and not feel ridiculous.
