virus/undeletable comments Options

Hi, have you guys ever encountered those virus comments? They leave you a comment but you can't delete it? I was wondering if you guys knew how to delete it. My friend left me one and it wasn't a virus or anything he told me that he was just testing out some html code and now I can't delete his comment.

Have you tryed going to " edit profile " and then clickling edit comments. From there you should be able to delete the comment your friend left you.

I think I know what comments your talking about, I had a few of these a while ago try doing this:



Go to edit profile and then find the link to edit comments and go there. Go to one of the links to delete a comment that you know you can delete, right click and copy shortcut and paste it in to notepad. You should see something like this:

Notice in the end you see $ctl01$
Okay count how many comments down it is to the one you want to delete having the first comment be 0 and then counting down. Then go back in the Url

java script:__doPostBack('ctl00$Main$PagedComments$viewComments$commentRepeater$ctl01$deleteLinkButton','')[/

Change the 1 (bold) to the number comment you want to delete then once your done doing that, put it in your address bar on your edit comments page and hit enter. And viola!
