How can e-mails be overrated? WTH? E-mails are essential in every-day life for me now. I mean, there's phone calls and letters and such, but sending files? Mass communication? How old are your friends?

You need an email to do things on the internet.
MySpace, cB, Xanga, school sites, etc.
You need an email to sign up for that stuff.

I throb.gif Gmail. I'm logged onto it the whole time I'm online.

I use Gmail, and there's Google Talk and everything. I always use it and I'm always on, usually. I use email as a good way to get discount coupons and stuff XD.gif

IMing & phone calls FTW. I don't like email. I just have it so I can sign up for things.. All that spam that somehow gets to my folder turns me off. sad.gif

I love email. I use it to ask my teachers questions on the weekend. I also use it to send pictures to my friends. Yet now i use Picasa for photo albums.

I think its useful.

E-mails are extremely important to me. Thats how I receive a lot of work I have to do because AIM and other chats are stupid. I don't see how e-mail could be overrated, I could see how a lot of chat systems could be but never e-mail.

Hrm, shouldn't this be in technology?

I use my email a lot. Mostly for signing up to websites and getting updates. I also use it to keep in contact with my friends who don't have AIM.

I use it very often, if people don't have msn/aim or anything, email is the way to go.

Emailing is kinda the backbone of where IMs derived from. So I think they're very important. Besides, how would you be able to send things like documents or sign up for things without your email?

Exactly. It's not good to rely only upon email, but there's nothing wrong with using email. I use email a LOT, but it's not like I don't use other methods of communication - calling people, writing letters every once in a while, etc.

E-mails are pretty useful. ;] I still use it, and I love the convenience of being able to send people things when they're not even online. Yee!
