Eh I'm not exactly sure if this is the right forum, so this can moved as needed.

Whatever happened to singingfish! Was it bought by AOL? This is making me angry.

I was reading the Singingfish wikipedia article and it said that Singingfish was bought by AOL in 2003 (which is why you get all those links to AOL radio when you search for songs in WMA format), after which they slowly moved everything in to AOL and fired all of singingfish's employees. They finally just started linking the frontpage to AOL Video on February 7th.You used to be able to get to the singingfish website (like, until yesterday) by entering in exactly the search engine but that doesn't work anymore =(

RIP Singingfish. It was my favorite music site. Damn you, AOL.

This pisses me off. Where fruck am I supposed to get me illegal music? WTF AOL YOU ARE LIKE THE WORST PARTY CRASHER EVER, I HATE YOU.

..edit

If anyone is interested check out www.imeem.com, it's really nice but you can't download the music for free. However, you can listen to all the songs as much as you want and construct playlists.

Awww. ;( Singingfish was the first place I went to (when I signed up for Xanga a long while ago) for music.

I've never been a fan of AOL. OH well.

Yeah, I just found this out yesterday. It was real depressing when I was redirected to AOL video or whatever. >_> Singingfish was so useful...though I gotta admit, it started to suck since last year.

laugh.gif The only time in the past few years that I've had a virus found on my computer was when I was attempting something on LimeWire. It's sort of like Insta-Karma. tongue.gif

Yeah, I was pretty pissed when I tried to go to singing fish the other day.

I HATE anything AOL. Time Warner Cable (people who own AOL) seems to buy everything and it's really, really, really stupid.

Try LoudFusion. It's what I started using when I got annoyed at SingingFish. :D Its layout is a lot better than SingingFish's.

Yeah the first time I saw that, I was like wtf, mate?
But now for Myspace or Xanga or something I just use imeem.
They have those ugly damn players, so I just hide them.

Singingfish used be bomb but ever since AOL bought it sucked a lot. Their search engine doesn't really work as good as it used to.
