Well... I was at the movies last week, and I was in line waiting to buy a ticket. There was a little probably the age of 9, she had very snow white hair, and snow white skin, she turned around.... and she had a red pupil! I was freaked out, I was scared but I couldn't stop staring...

Have you ever seen an Albino person?

Didn't you feel rude just staring at her like that? Why would you be scared? It's not contagious, it's not threatening, it's not even a bad thing.

Erm, it's rude to stare. Hasn't anyone ever told you that. You may not mean it in a rude way but I can guarantee you that if you stare at someone they will notice it.

My mother's friend has neurofibromatosis to he has little bumps (tumors) all over his body and people stare at him all the time and he used to get really depressed about people looking at him the way they did. Maybe you just need to be exposed more. But, yes, I have seen albino people.

why would you be scared? people who are albino have feelings, too. and it's a person, isn't it? it's redundant to be frightened of something that is the same species as you.

i think we have one at our school. he's got extrememly light hair and pale skin. but, im not sure if he's albino or if he's just pale-r than the rest of us.

Well I mean guys come on, it was something new for her and she didn't know how to react.

I'm pretty accepting of others I've come to realize in the past year. I probably would have smiled at the girl and asked her what movie she was going to see. But no I have yet to see an albino person. I remember when I was little I use to get called albino because I was always the palest out of the group pinch.gif

I hate how people talk about albino people like they're animals in a zoo. The only thing that's different is that they don't have pigments in their skin/hair/wherever. They're not freaks.

Um. okay so im not going to rant and rave about how rude it is blah blah cuz everyone already seems to have done that well enough already.

Anyways, what i am going to say is in reply to your question; I used to live in Nigeria, and I dont know why, but there were a few albinos. And I knew one, and I forget her name, but she was BEAUTIFULL. She was absolutely stunning, and she dressed really well and all the guys wanted her and she was just so cool. I couldnt really be her friend cuz she was in the grade above me, and they have a big issue with seniors befrending juniors or whatever, its lame. Anyways, thats my albino story, she was so cool!

^ Cool!

I've never seen someone like that in real life. I think it's cool in an odd way. If I saw an albino person, I'd be like "HEY! biggrin.gif You're cool!" and then they'd think I was a weirdo...

...but it's all good. laugh.gif

I have, but she wasn't an albino like most of you would think of one. Albinos don't always have to have colorless skin, hair and eyes. It's a series of anomalies that can include just one (or more) of the three.

Anyway, I digress. She's a year younger than me and she has no pigment to her skin. She has very pretty blue eyes, though.

No, I never have. It'd be interesting though, and I wouldn't find it scary.
