I have these 2 bumps right under my right eye, and it's really weird. I don't think it's a stye because those are usually red. It's a little lighter than my skin, and it's sort of itchy. One popped up yesterday, but it went away when I put some Cortizone on it. Then these popped up. I put some on these two, but they're not gone yet. I'm worried that they'll keep on coming back. They grow rather fast..... pinch.gif

Does anyone have any idea on what this is?

Just pop them like a pimple I guess.

I think they came back was because the first one didn't really go away. Instead it just kind of went back down.

I don't really know exactly what they are. I think they are like mini pimples. They don't really leave any scarring and they are really small. But mind you with any kind of bump, I have a instinct to pop them first.

Are they really small bumps, with the centre a lighter colour? Are they around your eye and near your eyelashes, upper or lower? If they are, then yes, they're styes.

There are many types of bumps associated with the eye, so I wouldn't make a quick diagnosis without seeing an eye doctor first, especially since they are all similar.

But the rather universial starting treatment for all of them includes warm compression to the eye. Take a cloth, put it under hot water, and apply it to that eye. It's easy to do.

Ok, I went to see a doctor about it, and she said it's probably allergies.

But the bumps get bigger. Last Sunday, it got so bad that my whole lower eyelid was swollen. They're not small, but I think it's starting to go away. I'm taking Claritin. shrug.gif

it could still be a stye. i got a minor one once. it was barely noticeable and wasn't red at all.. just a weird bump that eventually went away after a few days.

just leave them alone. :)

Bacteria, usually from your eyelashes or makeup that gets trapped in the eye. That's why you put hot water on them, because that will open the pores and hopefully flush out the bacteria. Think of it like taking a bath.

I don't think those are styes. Dust-sized are a bit too small for styes. I'm pretty sure styes are bigger than that and you'll definitely feel a "bump" if you rub it.
