Insignia DVD problem, problem with auto chapter |

So my family has an Insignia DVD player and recorder that has an auto chapter feature where when I record something onto DVD, every 5 or 10 minutes it's supposed to create a new chapter. I set it for 10 minutes, but it won't auto chapter. Does anybody know what might be the problem??
