Okay,so,i'm 12 years old,5'2.5,and I'm 86 lbs.
I don't like being skinny,everyone says it's beautiful,it's like shutup.
I am NOT anorexic.
So,i am trying to figure out how to gain weight easily.
I want to get up to maybe 90-95 lbs..
I tried eating a lot of fried foods, that didn't work and it made me unhealthy.
And please don't tell me to work out.

SO,yeah.
You guys got any tips on gaining weight ?
( health..ily [?] )

last week, i had to donate blood. and in order to donate blood, you need to be 110. 5 days before the day of donating, i was 102. on the day of, i had to get weighed by the school nurse because the people who drew the blood didnt believe me.

i was 111. which means, that in 5 days..i gained 9 lbs.

Hi I'm Suzzette, the Health and Fitness Doctor/Expert. aniwink.gif

Before I can properly diagnose your problem, I need to ask a couple of questions.

1) How many meals do you eat a day?
2) What kind of foods do you usually eat?
3) How often do you exercise?
4) Do you have a history of supreme supreme metabolism in your family?

Eat a lot of carbs?

You probably have a very high metabolism. Also, don't worry; you won't stay incredibly skinny forever. Your metabolism will slow down as you grow older, and you'll gain more fat. Since you're only 12, you're probably growing tall more quickly than you are growing wide. ^_^

Don't try to go the junk food way to gain weight.

Eat more veggies, fruits, and good stuff. Slowly you will gain weight.

Keep in mind you are 12 years old, and your body hasn't gone through all the changes yet. I assure you that you will gain the weight, it just takes some time. You need to grow up first, and not worry so much about your weight for one. There is no need for you to.

Eating a bunch of junk food is not the answer to gaining weight.
And I'm glad you want to do it the healthy way.
Perhaps you should consider working out with weights to build muscle.
Remember your metabolism is probably really good, ur young and it probably is in your genes and what not. [not to be confused with jeans lol]

Don't worry about it.
There is no magical answer.
Just live healthy by working out as often as you can [and i suggest adding weights], and eating as healthy as you can [lean meats, fruits, veggies, no sugar, and cut down on heavily processed foods]

Hi,i'm not that stupid.
It means that your body digests the food really fast.

metabolism is the process of converting food and other substances into energy.

it's not digestion.

eating food quicker will not fix the problem.

Heres what you do, get a donut, coat it with vegetable oil, DEEP fry it, put all kinds of dressing on it, deep fry again, then put some crisko on it, deep fry once again, then eat.

Your body hasn't fully matured yet, so I wouldn't plan on seriously making an attempt on gaining weight. When you're at that age, you don't really know your exact appetite and how much you can take/gain weight/lose weight. Also, usually when you're around 12, your metabolism is still pretty fast, it's nothing you can change. Just wait for a little while longer. Also, if you still going to gain weight...gain weight in a healthy way. Try eating more protein and such. Gaining muscle is better than gaining fat, yeah? (: Try to go the gym or exercise and such. I know you said not to tell you to work out, but that's the only way. Plus, it's really not that bad...if you're serious about gaining weight. D:

a lot of you are telling her to eat more fatty foods. however... while she might gain weight... they aren't exactly healthy. although, i think most of you are joking.

once again: go here, webmd: http://www.webmd.com/content/article/73/82001.htm

professionals, mds/doctors, nutritionist - people who know how to manage one's weight healthy and responsibly. if you really want to gain weight, i suggest you go there for better, more informed tips.
