I am assigned a research project about ANYTHING that is related to America in some way.
Since I cannot have more than 2 internet sources, I am stuck on what topics to write about, I try not to write about history because it's tedious.

The topic must be "specific," you can't just say "World War II" it has to be specific "role of women in WWII."

Any ideas on what topics I should write about?

Ohhhhh honey, there is so much that you can talk about. What time period do you want to focus on? Is there anything about American history that appeals to you? i.e. female roles, racial histories, economic changes, Presidential polices, etc.

It doesn't have to be history...and I could do anything as soon as I could find sources and enough to write 7 pages about it.

Okay now you've multiplied the possibilities by millions. wacko.gif

You can write about anything for seven pages as long as you don't get too specific, but it's a lot easier to get broader than it is to get more specific.

What interests you? Science? History? Literature?

Find a topic and just get more and more specific, like the following:

1. Music
2. Jazz Music
3. Jazz Era
4. New Orleans
5. Evolution of the New Orleans Jazz Festival

or even how New Orleans jazz is different from other jazz styles, or how jazz has influenced the upper and middle classes of Brazil. Just find something that you're interested and run from there. :]

I personally think something on effects of pop culture or effects of technology would be nice. Or just effects of anything modern that has changed American lifestyle, perhaps.

The development of technology in the US?
And maybe you could touch on the "Race To Space", the A-bomb, and Einstein, then transition into today's modern technology (like nanotechnology, biochemistry and all that stuff).
But that might be too much research. pinch.gif

Hmm, I dunno. That's what I'd write about..

If I were you, I'd pick something about music's evolution in America, because it appeals to me more than politics.

But if you feel that you'll fall short of those pages, I'd pick a compare/contrast topic. Like Articles of Confederation vs. Constitution or something. Then technically, it's like two topics... but erhhhm, not. Am I making any sense?

Just a note, a mod can close this now since I finished my project already.

But thanks for those who advised me!
